We, a family of five, visited your restaurant on 30.08.2025 Phonix mall. We ordered a veg platter priced at ₹650, which included masal vadai, paneer, mushroom, cauliflower, and baby corn. While the masal vadai tasted good and the paneer was prepared in Chinese chilli style, the rest of the items were a complete disappointment. They all had the same 65 masala coating, which not only lacked taste but also carried a burnt smell.

Apart from this, we tried veg fried rice, veg kothu parotta, and chicken biryani—all of which were just average.

What made our experience worse was the customer service. When we tried to share our feedback with the servers, they had no answers, and shockingly, the manager even redirected the server to move away from our table—without our knowledge, which we unfortunately noticed. This shows a very poor attitude towards customers.

On entering the restaurant itself, we experienced an unpleasant odour (possibly due to poor AC maintenance). The wash area was also unhygienic, adding to our dissatisfaction.

Overall, this was one of our most disappointing dining experiences. With poor food quality, lack of cleanliness, and worst customer relationship management, we will definitely not be returning, nor would we recommend this...

My recent visit to Kaaraikudi Chettinadu Restaurant left me with a sense of disappointment, and I'd like to share my experience.

Initially, the restaurant appeared to be nicely maintained. However, the cleanliness of the table and the presence of tissues on the floor were notable letdowns. Additionally, the sight of water bottle cartons stored inside the restaurant was unexpected, especially for a premium dining establishment.

The service was decent, but a significant drawback was the addition of service charge without consent. The imposition of a service charge of Rs 145 on a bill of Rs 2800 was an unwelcome surprise and seemed unfair.

The food quality did not meet expectations. The biryani was described as mediocre, and the high prices of Rs 350 for Chicken Biryani and Rs 450 for Mutton Biryani were considered steep for the quality offered. The Korma was notably unsatisfactory in taste, and it went largely untouched.

While the parathas were rated as okay, the Poricha Chicken was criticized for being overly brown and tasting burnt.

To add to the disappointments, the overall cost for a family of four adults and two kids amounted to around Rs 3000, which was considered unreasonable given the lackluster food...

⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re looking for a culinary experience that tantalizes your taste buds but leaves you scratching your head about the service, look no further than India Restaurant Kaaraikudi in Phoenix Mall! First off, let’s talk about the food. It was fantastic! I mean, if I could marry a plate of biryani, I would have proposed on the spot. The flavors danced like they were auditioning for a Bollywood movie—truly a gastronomic delight! Now, onto the service, which was about as smooth as a rickety auto rickshaw on a pothole-riddled road. Our waiter seemed to have mastered the art of “wait and see” when it came to checking on us. I half-expected him to come back with a crystal ball instead of a menu. And then there was the busboy—let’s just say his passive-aggressive vibe could have fueled a soap opera. I could practically hear the dramatic music playing every time he cleared a plate with a sigh that could rival a Bollywood hero’s. In conclusion, if you want to feast like a king but feel like a court jester, this is the place for you! Just remember to bring your sense of humor and perhaps a whistle to get your waiter’s attention. Cheers to great food and unexpected drama!

This is a detailed review. Please read it to save money. The place has a decent ambience but requires lot of improvement. I would suggest to opt for a different restaurant rather than spending your hard earned money. I ordered Non-veg thali (Rs. 750/-), mutton pepper roast (Rs. 380 /-) and naatukozhi biriyani(Rs. 380 /-). Mutton is the only dish eatable and not even 150gm is served. Except mutton all other varieties are below normal taste. Taste is not even great and is really not up to the mark. No refill of any items of chicken or mutton in thali. No meat pieces in curry. Only extra rice & plain curries are given. Biriyani taste is quite ok and it is not great. Mutton is eatable but it can also be softened. Dishes are too expensive and that doesn't compensate for expected taste & service. Service staffs don't even care about diners once after an order is placed. No one cares to help out the customers. You need to always stay in watch to call for a person multiple times to get tasks done. This place definitely requires lot of improvement so better I'll try to post another review if there is a good initiatives undertaken by management.

After long hours of window shopping and some actual shopping with my friend at Phoenix Market City, Velachery, we were tired and hungry from all the walking and we were searching for restaurants to have dinner. We found this restaurant within the mall and decided to try it. We visited the restaurant by around 9:30 PM. The staff showed use our table and took our order, he answered our queries regarding the menu items. Staff were extremely polite and courteous. Ambience was good, the restaurant was lit adequately. We ordered Paneer 65 for starters and for mains we had appam, plain dosai, bun parota and chicken chettinad gravy. Appam was served with coconut milk. Dosai had accompaniments of sambar, chutney, onion tomato thokku and idly powder in oil. Paneer 65 was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. All the main course dishes were tasty, gravy was delicious. We also had sweet lime soda, which was good as well. Most items were priced on the higher side. They accept payment through cash and cards. All in all a very good experience.
