We, a family of five, visited your restaurant on 30.08.2025 Phonix mall. We ordered a veg platter priced at ₹650, which included masal vadai, paneer, mushroom, cauliflower, and baby corn. While the masal vadai tasted good and the paneer was prepared in Chinese chilli style, the rest of the items were a complete disappointment. They all had the same 65 masala coating, which not only lacked taste but also carried a burnt smell.
Apart from this, we tried veg fried rice, veg kothu parotta, and chicken biryani—all of which were just average.
What made our experience worse was the customer service. When we tried to share our feedback with the servers, they had no answers, and shockingly, the manager even redirected the server to move away from our table—without our knowledge, which we unfortunately noticed. This shows a very poor attitude towards customers.
On entering the restaurant itself, we experienced an unpleasant odour (possibly due to poor AC maintenance). The wash area was also unhygienic, adding to our dissatisfaction.
Overall, this was one of our most disappointing dining experiences. With poor food quality, lack of cleanliness, and worst customer relationship management, we will definitely not be returning, nor would we recommend this...
Read moreMy recent visit to Kaaraikudi Chettinadu Restaurant left me with a sense of disappointment, and I'd like to share my experience.
Initially, the restaurant appeared to be nicely maintained. However, the cleanliness of the table and the presence of tissues on the floor were notable letdowns. Additionally, the sight of water bottle cartons stored inside the restaurant was unexpected, especially for a premium dining establishment.
The service was decent, but a significant drawback was the addition of service charge without consent. The imposition of a service charge of Rs 145 on a bill of Rs 2800 was an unwelcome surprise and seemed unfair.
The food quality did not meet expectations. The biryani was described as mediocre, and the high prices of Rs 350 for Chicken Biryani and Rs 450 for Mutton Biryani were considered steep for the quality offered. The Korma was notably unsatisfactory in taste, and it went largely untouched.
While the parathas were rated as okay, the Poricha Chicken was criticized for being overly brown and tasting burnt.
To add to the disappointments, the overall cost for a family of four adults and two kids amounted to around Rs 3000, which was considered unreasonable given the lackluster food...
