Went for the Ramadan nights after seeing a blogger's post. Looked promising and different but on site experience was disappointing. Pros : The variety of food and drinks they had was mesmerizing. Endless i shud say. Con: Apart from samosa food taste was very average . On top of that all food were cold. They do had a oven at site but it didnt serve the purpose. Most of the items were fried items and when you have such items in the menu its meant to be served hot out of the frying pan. Microwaving or heating it in oven changes the taste. I went there at around 10.15pm , not very crowded and at 10.30 pm haleem was over. Haleem is the People were ordering khunafa and then after having some parceling it. I do that when i dont like the food but dont want to waste the food too . I cancelled my ordered for the same before they started to make it.
They had both veg and non veg counters. I dont think i missed out on an any of the Non veg item and i found it cold and very average taste.
Veg items I took the deep fried dates and casava fritters - one word horrible.
Drinks - i tried the lime tea which was ok. I also tasted two of their cold drinks . One of them was superb but they just had one piece of it
Desserts - Dessert might save the night for you. Shahi tukra was good. Jamun was ok .
Crowd started coming when we were done. Saw them bringing fresh fried snacks and I regretted coming early. I wish i came late I could have tasted those hot fried snacks.
Service - people at the food counter seemed confused . Though the senior staff helped out later. Few items which were included were mentioned to be charged extra resolved later.
Please dont go with a huge expectation like me . Insist on hot food which we didnt . They give u a list of food and when u order the counter guy writes the quantity in the form. This form is your reference during billing. So do keep an eye if any item you have eaten but not mentioned or anything mentioned extra.
The concept is great i wish the execution and taste was great too. There are still many days left and the management if they work on it m sure people will have a pleasent experience.
I noted that people who were visting after their fasting were very choosy about what they were ordering and seem to enjoy the hot snacks . I m sure they were ordering correctly. I guess ordering to taste everything in the menu was definately a wrong approach.
Would i visit again- NO.
Bill - rs 1500

Read moreI have been to this resto for a Sunday lunch. There is ample parking and the restaurant is quite classy and neat. The tables were properly placed and can accommodate any pax.
Coming to food, we had ordered following and you can find my ratings against each.
Naatu kozhi murungai rasam - There was only one piece of chicken and it was good. The taste was like boiled chicken piece in tomato rasam. Please avoid if you wish not to spoil your taste buds. Rating - 4/10
Hot and sour chicken soup - I have tasted it from my brother in law. Best soup to try here however, they lack in consistency. The taste was awesome and highly delectable. You will definitely love it. Rating - 8/10
Pepper barbeque chicken - The pieces were tender and pepper has been infused to the taste. The meat was flavoured with peppery and smokey flavour. Rating - 8/10
Peri peri barbeque chicken - Highly disappointed! The pieces were chewy and the peri peri flavour is too weird. Please avoid buying this. I suspect old or uncooked meat here. Rating - 1/10
Seabass fish barbeque - The taste was okayish. The fish had no flavour except for the masala. The fish was properly cooked but doesn't give the kick to relish. Rating - 3/10
Chicken biryani - There were enough quantity for two adults. They have provided three pieces which was tender and juicy however, the biryani wasn't hot and it didn't meet up the expectations of how chennai biryani should be. You can try buying one and can get it shared with your friends if you wish to compromise the actual bhai biryani taste here. Rating - 6/10
Mutton biryani - The meat was cooked well but, the pieces were lacking flavour. To be honest, it tasted like cooked rice unflavoured. Please avoid it unless if you don't have concern on flavour. Rating - 4/10
Kasuri murgh tikka - They have used thigh pieces which were boneless and it was properly cooked with cashew paste. It had smokey flavour and the meat was properly cooked. Rating - 8/10
Strawberry mojito - Please avoid this cos, they have used syrup more than the required proportion which ruined the entire flavour. Rating - 1/10
Overall it was an average experience and definitely not worthy for the money you pay. If you wish to visit for a casual lunch and not bothered of not being pricey then this isn't a spot for you. One can try once for a casual lunch without expecting much flavour and...
Read moreThis restaurant has been a surprise. We dined as a family of 5 with parents (60yrs) glad we made a really good choice. Ordered Veg: Mushroom Lazeez (less oil, lots of veggies, great curry) Chapati (I’ve always had half cooked chapatis in restaurants, but at Zaitoon, Chapati was so thin and big circular folded in serving bowl- people who love chapatis would definitely need to try. Also ordered Tandoori Phool gobi : they have served a ‘full’ gobi cut pieces tandoori’d (could have been cooked more)
Non-veg: Chicken Rogan josh is a must order , kerala parotta was soft and cooked well. Pepper Bbq chicken was outstanding, could have been softer, best part- it was juicy and dry (no oil or oozing fat like some other restaurants I’ve had. Fish tikka- they said it was vanjaram fish, but for someone who eats it pretty often will be surprised by how it’s made and tastes. Even those who don’t prefer fish must try the fish tikka, soft and meaty, flavourful. All these were served with some laccha onion, capsicum, carrot salad. (Loved the chutneys and mayonnaise, fresh and yum, you’ll ask for more) Mutton Dum Briyani was subtle and tasty, soft basmati rice, flavourful with enough meat pieces , it was served with brinjal Salan and onion cucumber raita. Desserts: Russian Medovik (loved it, must try for caramel fanatics) it was a soft layered cake with caramel and cream. Walnut brownie was right amount of sweet, nothing over the top. For people who don’t like too much sugar can try the brownie with vanilla icecream. Mumbai Falooda - amazing (fruits, jelly, little nuts etc) All the dishes were of enough portion, worth the price, and they all were amazing. Overall amazing experience, highly recommend family dining. Restaurant is squeaky clean and doesn’t smell meaty or no flies. It was a busy Sunday dinner (book a table for 7.30 or before 8.30PM) we will be...
