Chatpata — Restaurant in Tripura

It is located opposite to Bag Bazaar. Area :: Golbazaar Area, this place remains crowded 24*7 Double storeyed restaurant, mostly customers are asked to sit on first floor. The food is good , okay :), but the customer service is not at all good. I have often visited this place also have packed food , the food tastes good undoubtedly but not that much satisfying. The customer service is really bad and I'm sharing this based on my experience along with my friends.

We have ordered 6 plates of biryani of which they served a single small plate of raita. Biryani being super dry, so we ordered extra chicken curry although we knew we will be provided raita along with it but the quantity( i.e only 1 plate raita) being served was so less compared to the number of plates of biryani being ordered was quiet unbelievable. On asking twice or thrice, after frequently calling the waiter-in-charge, they served us with two more plates ( indeed very less quantity), it was quiet shocking when we asked for another plate of raita because the waiter-in-charge walked towards our table and spoke rudely "We do not serve extra plates of raita, how much we served till now has finished the quota of 7 plates of briryani" (yes exactly these very words and exactly with that rudeness and arrongance on his face. Also it wasn't crowded !). Well everybody is paid for their job but that doesn't mean that one has to be so rude to their own customers otherwise how will one grow up his own business ! . Well after paying, when we politely and humbly told to that waiter-in-charge that, "The way you treated us is not the way one should behave, you could have been polite enough with us" How can anyone even expect that he might even understand his mistake because he answered " Ma'am actually I was out of my mind because the place was crowded" . ★Had a delightful meal at Chatpata recently!

Everything was absolutely delicious. The "Tangri Kabab" was a perfect balance of tangy and spicy, the chicken was perfectly cooked and juicy. The "Butter Paneer" was rich and creamy, with a perfectly balanced gravy. The "Veg Fried Rice" was flavorful and cooked to perfection, with the right amount of pea and vegetables.

★To my surprise, they also offered a complimentary "Papad" with Mayo, but it was absolutely delightful! It was a good way, which complemented the rest of the meal.

★And let's not forget dessert! The "ice cream" was the perfect way to end the meal, nice and creamy.

Overall, a fantastic dining experience at Chatpata. The food was delicious, the service was great, and the complimentary dish was a lovely surprise. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal!
