The Terrace — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

Pathetic place, they served cold food with hair particles in it. Completely disgusted by the food and the service. Even the cutlery was broken, almost got saved from cutting my lips becoz of their broken glasses. The menu is deceptive on Zomato, they don't even provide half of the food items claimed by them on their menu. Very rude and incompetent staff.

i. Even after making reservations, well in advance, we had to wait 15 minutes for getting a table. The staff refused the table of our choice and was pushing us for a different table located at the corner of the hall. ii. The table was not clean, food scraps were lying on the floor. Mistakenly I put my hand on the table and was soon disgusted when something sticky got stuck on my hand. iii. The sauces, chutneys which were already there were not replaced while cleaning the table and when we requested them for a fresh pair of sauces chutneys it took almost another 15 minutes for a replacement to arrive. The service is snail paced and the food which was served could hardly be called warm nay it was little better than cold. iv. The glasses placed on the table were not clean and I had to use the clothes provided to 1st clean the glass and then pour water. After a while I realised, the top of the glasses were broken/damaged which could have resulted in me cutting my lips or getting injured if I would have not noticed it. Even After requesting the waiter to change the glass, he did not pay any heed to my grievance. v. By the time, we were served with half cooked soya chap, I saw a hair strand mixed up with the masala and felt completely disgusted and lost all of my appetite. Even after making two complaints to the manager, the state of affairs did not improve. The waiters had pathetic service and a grim look all the time on their faces. None of them responded despite asking them for service multiple times. vi. The menu which is depicted on Zomato or elsewhere on Google, should not be relied. Because as they are into cost-cutting these days, the LIVE counter was closed, no paneer starter, on top of it. I was informed by the waiter, that starters will be served for once per person. We felt completely duped sitting at the restaurant and were totally helpless since we had already consumed the cold starters served to us. vii. There is no hygiene being maintained or any food safety measures being followed. When this fact was informed to the manager he said it is common and he said “Galti Se Gir Gya Hoga”. I am really disappointed and I think street vendors of Lucknow are providing better food than this...

Value for money buffet ! @ Rs485 If you want to eat a good quality buffet but don't want to spend a fortune, this is the perfect place for you. For Rs 485 per person you get lots and lots of options and food varieties to choose from. Situated in Hazratganj, merely 500 metres from the metro station. One can easily walk to the Hotel Charans Plaza building, adjacent to the Punjab and Sindh bank. Then you will need to take the lift to the 4th floor, where the restaurant Terrace is situated. Lets talk about food now, as soon as you take your seat you will served starters, honey chilly potato, veg kebab, cheezballs for vegetarian and chicken tikka, chicken chilly and fish fingers for the non vegetarians. These starters are unlimited by the way. The number of starters can vary according to the season and the number of people dining. After this you are free to chose whatever you want to eat from the giant buffet. Starters : 14 types of salads, yes 14!!! along with 2 types of soups, Live counter : Pizza, pani puri, papdi chaat and other items are prepared live in front of you. Coming to Main course: there are a plethora of options available. For vegetarians : Paneer chilly and 2 more dishes of paneer, 1 dish of soya chaap, a seasonal vegetable , 2 type of dals { usually dal makhni and arhar dal} noodles, breads and fried rice. For Non vegetarians: Chicken chilly, fish curry (seasonal), 2 chicken dishes and mutton biryani. Sweets : This is a heaven for sweet tooths, 3 types of ice creams, 3 types of trufle cakes, 2 types of chashni sweets , 2 types of phirni and one random sweet. Not to forget the unlimited soda. Total 6 types of sodas are available with unlimited refills . Quality of all the items is good and this makes it one of the most value for money places to eat. Highly recommended, but do make a reservation before reaching the hotel to avoid any last moment fuss. Timings : 12 pm to 2:30 pm and 3pm to 5:30 pm. Extremely pathetic experience at The Terrace, Hazratganj.

The place is so overcrowded and chaotic that it feels less like a posh restaurant and more like an “open bhandara” where people are obsessively running after food.

Hygiene is the LAST thing that you should expect from this place, the plates, counters, everything is extremely dirty. There were strands of hair in the ‘dahi vada’ and when a customer complained, the waiter dismissively justified it instead of apologising.

The managers don’t give a damn about what is happening at the outlet, they are sitting in one corner of the room completely indifferent and apathetic. It is so unfortunate to see that they have a massive disregard and contempt for the very customers who are paying for their monthly salaries.

The food itself was cold, tasteless, and even smelled weird. The waiters aren’t serving the food, they are throwing the plates at your table, expecting you to quickly stuff all the food in your mouth and return back to your homes.

I have never felt so unwelcomed in my life. The staff was so ungrateful and their behaviour was absolutely unprofessional - unresponsive, rude, and dismissive of basic requests. A kid went to the lemon soda counter and asked the guy over there for cold drink, after rudely dismissing that little kid, he stayed glued to his phone as the child kept asking questions and feeling helpless.
