It's one of the best places to eat at Darjeeling ! We went there on two different days Take Out : The first day we had cold coffee and an espresso while we waited for our take out order of a Mushroom Burger and a Crispy chicken Burger. The espresso was very well made and it always delights me to have a good espresso. Definitely one of the better espressos (8/10). Cold coffee was even better in my opinion (9/10). The Mushroom Burger is the best I had at any place ! The buns are baked by these very people and that is definitely a star to begin with. The barbecued mushrooms with the cheese, sauces and pickles is just a combination which they have perfected! My mouth still waters remembering that burger 𤤠Rating 10/10. Dine In : We had ordered two dishes for brunch on the second day - A mushroom onion pizza and a vegetarian pesto spaghetti. They really put the ball out of the park when it came to both these dishes. I really loved the authentic wood fired pizza. The tomato sauce was perfectly done and being a fan of wood fired pizza, I could hardly find anything missing. The service was fast and the pizza hardly took 10 minutes to arrive at our table which makes it all the more impressive! Rating -10/10. The pesto spaghetti was brilliant as well. The pasta was well coated in the sauce and the served on a bed of green bell pepper with mushrooms and cherry tomatoes with a generous drizzle of the parmesan. Also, had added some crispy bacon on the side which was really appreciated by fellow eating companion. Rating - 10/10. We also ordered couple of dessert items - A chocolate mousse cake and a Blueberry cheesecake. Both the desserts were outstanding but the chocolate mousse cake was simply out of this world. The blueberry cheesecake was great too but the biscuit layer was a bit too sweet to our liking. Mousse cake - 10/10. Blueberry cheesecake - 8.5/10 I would like to really appreciate the prompt service and the polite servers here as well. They are very sweet and dedicated to their work. The interiors of the place look so wonderful with the plants and the color tone of the walls. It's hard to find a restaurant which is near perfect in ever little detail and I can vouch that this is one of the near...
Read moreUsed to be one of my fav place to dine in but not anymore. I terribly miss it though. I go here every time i visited Darjeeling, I went to Sevoke road branch twice.. quality is not good anymore. In Darjeeling branch, They used to have every korean food written on menu but now they do not have them most of the food mentioned on the menu. I remember going twice with my sister and Niece. She asked for authentic korean chicken.. you know that is bit sweet and chilly and crispy one.. they used to serve it but not anymore. I am a huge fan of Korean food. Every time i go to Korean restaurant or cafe, I order Korean crispy chicken and corndog but they do not have them anymore.. I recently went on 21st May⌠they didnât have what my niece ordered looking at the menu and Only had Korean fried chicken and Korean chicken wings.. which are different than what I am talking about but when I asked the staff if they could make an exception and ask chef to made it.. they got confused and didnât know what exactly is Korean crispy chicken.. and suggested to have korean chicken wings and they both are same lol. It was hilarious!! And I showed him the photo and he said will tell chef and came back in a minute saying âyo ta hundainaâ its not available. Thatâs bummerrrr!!! And in Siliguri Sevoke road branch, first time i found the place very happening and loved it and second time i went to my friend who wasnât familiar with korean food and I spoke highly of it and about this place but the place looked dead around 3pm and the bbq wasnât that much smoky and the food quality wasnât that good as before and Now i see burger cartel is like in Kurseong and Pradhan Nagar.. but I think they should focus on making the quality of food better.. or atleast have most of those korean food options back. :) now in Siliguri, I only go to Arirang and Himal tree, Near Agam Singh nagar and newly opened Pradhan Nagar branch. I give 4 stars for the sweet staff and ambiance...
Read moreI wish I could give Burger Cartel a zero-star rating, but unfortunately, the system forces me to give at least one. Honestly, this was one of the worst dining experiences of my life.
I ordered a burger, and it was served as if it had been thrown together like a Lego set. The âextra cheeseâ I paid for wasnât even melted â just a hard slab dumped on top. The ham was so dry it was barely edible, and the bun crumbled apart like a stale cookie. To top it off, I specifically asked for tomato sauce, but they didnât bother adding ketchup or sauce of any kind. The so-called âsaladâ was literally just a thick slice of onion tossed in without any effort.
Then came the pepperoni pizza, which was somehow even worse. In my 35 years of eating pizza, this was the most pathetic thing Iâve ever seen: one lonely slice of pepperoni for each piece, cheese that was either undercooked or left sitting around too long, and a texture that screamed reheated leftovers.
The service was equally terrible. I had to call out multiple times just to ask for a bottle of water â which, by the way, they donât even serve as a basic complimentary item. Staff ignored me until I practically had to shout across the place. For what they charge, this is beyond unacceptable.
Overall, Iâd give negative five stars for both food and service if I could. Burger Cartel needs to completely change the staff, hire an actual chef, or honestly just shut...
