Fiesta Restaurant, Darjeeling – A Vibe That Changes with You
After a long day of exploring Darjeeling, stepping into Fiesta Restaurant felt like a breath of fresh air. The ambience was warm and welcoming—just what a tired traveler needs. The food was delicious, and the service was genuinely heartwarming, making me feel right at home.
I visited the place twice—once with my co-travelers and another time alone—and both experiences were uniquely special. It was as if the restaurant adapted itself to my mood and the people around me. On the first visit, we ordered hot chocolate, red wine tea, cappuccino, pizza, tukpa, and veg rosti—each item tasted amazing. Imagine sipping red wine tea on a chilly evening, cuddling a bowl of steaming tukpa, with gentle live music playing in the background—it truly felt like a scene from a dream. That evening, Fiesta felt like the perfect hangout spot, and as the music shifted to a more upbeat, funky vibe, we enjoyed it even more.
The next day, I returned alone on a quiet, sunny morning. The restaurant had a completely different charm—bright, colorful, and peaceful. It wasn’t crowded, and the tranquil setting made it feel almost meditative. I couldn’t believe that just last night the same place had felt like a fun party hall, and now it resembled a quiet sanctuary. That’s the magic of Fiesta.
Craving something new, I ordered a cranberry coffee—and it did not disappoint. I spent some time just sitting there, enjoying my own company, writing a few lines, and soaking in the calm. It was such a soulful moment.
Fiesta Restaurant is not just a place to eat—it’s a space that mirrors your mood, whether you're there for good food, deep conversations, or peaceful solitude. If I ever return to Darjeeling, this restaurant will definitely be on my list again. It holds a special place in my heart now, a memory I’ll always...
Read moreLocation is one of the hotspots of Darjeeling as it is situated right at Chowrasta! The restaurant has been there for a long time( 20 years or more), however, the quality that was in its initial years has not been maintained and has gone down over the years. My review is solely based on the service, food availability, coffee taste, food taste. Service is slow, you cannot visit if you are running short of time or if you are hungry. You may visit if you have ample leisure time and want to go slow and relax and clear out your mind. The lady who served us was pleasant( positive point),however, overall experience matters. The ambience is good with reasonably well played numbers. The interiors of the restaurant is well done. Though the restaurant wasn’t crowded, a couple of tables were still dirty and yet to be cleaned.
The view of Chowrasta is good from the restaurant and you could enjoy your bite while you momentarily soak in the life around. Coffee is absolutely distasteful! The menu lists cappuccino but what you get is a dilute milk coffee and for someone who is particular about their coffee and tea it comes as an unpleasant surprise! They should update their menu for coffee atleast.
They have a pretty wide range of items in the menu nevertheless item(s) from the menu could be unavailable. The veg. pakoras were fine with the balance of oil, crispiness and taste, you could go for it. The pricing for local food ( momo, chowmein)is on the higher range, milk coffee is also priced high compared to the taste and quality. Rest of the items are reasonable. You may visit if you will for the location, ambience and some food. (Note: Please revise your coffee menu and quality...

Visited Cafe Fiesta at the prime location on Mall Road, Darjeeling, and had one of the worst dining experiences ever.
To begin with, we ordered a regular Coke and specifically asked for ice – the drink was served promptly, but the ice arrived 10 minutes later, which already showed how disorganized the service was.
Next, we ordered the Chilly Chicken Momos, and clearly confirmed with the staff whether it would have chilly chicken as the filling or be made in the chilly chicken style (with veggies, gravy, etc.). The staff assured us it would be the former – chilly chicken inside the momos.
We patiently waited for 40 minutes. Due to time constraints, we converted it into a takeaway order. But the real disappointment came when we opened the box in our car – instead of what was promised, we received regular chicken momos drenched in a chilly chicken-style sauce with capsicum and onions. It was not what we ordered or were told.
To top it off, the taste was horrendous – 8 pieces for ₹450, listed as “Today’s Special,” turned out to be the worst momos we’ve ever had. Completely soggy, poorly prepared, and totally misleading.
This cafe has zero clarity on its menu, and the service is unacceptably slow and careless. For a place at such a prime location, this kind of experience is simply shameful.
Strongly recommend NOT visiting Cafe Fiesta. Save your time, money, and expectations. There are far better places in Darjeeling to eat – this is definitely not...
