Start your meal with the humble yet spicy Chili Pork with Peppers — savoury cubes of crisp, juicy, flavourful and soft pork with spices stir fried till golden brown. Chili Pork is also thick, very meaty and slathered with a finger-licking good glaze that will keep you busy for a while.

The mouthwatering Hunan Pork is proof that pork dishes are a forte here — the strong flavour, soft-texture, clean-tasting and not overly herbaceous as some Chinese pork dishes can be. The Hunan Pork felt more tasty when paired with the ice-chilled beer.

Order their signature Pork Shapta — melt-in-the-mouth boneless meat slices slicked in a rich, umami-laden spices and served with fluffy steamed buns. Pork Shapta is a must-order, very succulent crisp and meaty dish doused with fragrant dry spices.

It's pretty average. I have only one good thing to say about this restaurant,while the negatives are plenty. Okay so first,the good part. The food was good. Not excellent,but satisfactory.

Okay,now the bad parts (: First of all,we had to wait 70 minutes for our food. And what's more surprising is that we were one of the first customers for that evening. We were really disappointed.

Secondly,the staff and waiter were non responsive, unapologetic and UNPROFESSIONAL. They simply avoided any query regarding the arrival of the food. Not just us,they did this to all of the customers. WE WERE BAFFLED HOW ARROGANT AND INDIFFERENT THEY WERE TO THE NEEDS AND SATISFACTION OF THEIR CUSTOMERS.

Thirdly,the washroom was untidy af! For a posh well furnished restaurant,you would expect a decent washroom. WHAT'S WORSE WAS THAT THERE WAS NO WATER IN THE SINK! I literally couldn't wash my hands and couldn't use the toilet too! This is just not excusable.

Lastly,they are very unorganised. They couldn't manage the whole queue outside of the restaurant and the whole thing was a mess.

Many left because they had to wait too much. Even we considered leaving since it was already an hour since we ordered.

I am not giving this one star just because the food was good. OTHERWISE IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. SHANGRI-LA IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF "ALL THAT GLITTERS...

The restaurant is located in a fantastic spot with a great environment and breathtaking views. The ambiance is peaceful, making it a lovely place to relax and enjoy the scenery. The location is easy to find, and the new building looks modern and inviting. However, the food was a big letdown. The dishes lacked flavor and freshness, and the overall quality was far from what we expected. If you’re coming here purely for the food, you might leave disappointed.

It’s also worth mentioning that the restaurant has undergone renovations, moving from the old building to a completely new one. Some reviews and photos online might still show the previous structure, so don’t be confused when you see something entirely different. The new building is much more appealing, but unfortunately, the food doesn’t match the upgraded ambiance.

If you’re visiting for the view and a calm environment, it’s a decent spot to spend some time. But if food quality is your priority, you may want to explore other options nearby. Hopefully, the restaurant can improve its menu to match the excellent location and...
