No fret about the food & coffee but the customer service that we received especially related to payment was unprofessional & rather ridiculous. My cousin had asked for some glass of water but no one came over & did not attend us for a long time and after requesting several times, they finally got a glass of water along with this bill which mentioned ‘payment successful’ and it was marked as ‘cash’ method. When I went to them and said we are to pay by card, this lady at the cash counter said it is not possible since you asked for the bill... Lol.. We saw no logic in her statement. Firstly we had not asked for the bill but they assumed that my cousin did and constantly kept saying she asked for it. Even after confirming we did not ask for it, she said that my cousin had asked through hand gestures. Nah we didn’t! After going through the receipt we understood she pressed on cash mode by mistake and was simply making excuses, because if we are to believe the receipt already says, ‘Payment Successful’. She further explained that if we are to pay by card we shouldn’t ask for bill in advance & gotta come to the cash counter and pay & if we ask for bill at the table we ought to pay by only cash. It seems that’s how it works in there! I found that really arbitrary & hence would like you guys to kindly look into such situations & train them properly than cause inconvenience & provide illogical excuses like these. If this really is your way of payment, then kindly mention it prior to placing any orders or write a notice board for the same. Would save much hassle. I know you have a lovely set of people out there & they are really pleasant & nice but this experience was really odd.. thankfully we collected enough cash somehow & didn’t have to rush to ATM when it was raining cats and dogs outside :/ Thank you.

I have already left a suggestion for this issue. Kindly read :)...
Read moreHimalayan Coffee truly is an exceptional find! This charming cafe not only offers an array of fantastic coffee options but also treats patrons to mesmerizing views and cozy seating arrangements. The warm and inviting decor adds a special touch to the overall atmosphere.
When it comes to food, Himalayan Coffee is generally impressive. Their cakes and bakery offerings exceeded my expectations, though there's room for improvement in their cheesecake. It's good but could be even better. With a bit of refinement, they have the potential to become the best in this regard.
Moreover, this cafe caters to more than just your coffee cravings. They offer WiFi, making it an excellent spot to sit down and work, providing a serene and focused environment.
What truly stands out is their coffee; I savored an Americano and a hazelnut cappuccino, both of which were top-notch and truly out of this world. In a region where tea takes center stage, Himalayan Coffee's commitment to delivering such exceptional coffee experiences is both brave and inspiring.
For coffee enthusiasts and remote workers seeking a scenic and comfortable place to enjoy a cup of joe, Himalayan Coffee is a must-visit. They're already impressive and, with a little cheesecake refinement, they could become the absolute best in town! Don't miss out...
Read moreWell, We really stumbled upon this place by mistake while trying to buy jackets... And the way it looks.. it's atmosphere and overall cleanliness is such a welcome relief and so alluring... We just were attracted like months to a flame :)
That said, there are lovely books you can read and yearly inscriptions by travellers you can immerse yourself in... Or the views of the bustling crowds below... As you wait for your food/drinks
We had a burger, apple pie with ice-cream, onion rings, and a vanilla coffee. The service is pretty slow and the only item we really enjoyed was the apple pie... Perhaps because it wasn't cooked by the staff ... Everything else was really not upto the mark.. The onion rings were just big oily hunks... The burger was not so great and neither was the coffee.
At the end, the staff insisted we pay only in cash.
Though we enjoyed the respite from the crazy crowds of darjeeling, the coffee break and the peaceful vibe of the cafe right in the middle of the hustle bustle.. we wouldn't go here again. The only people really seem to be enjoying themselves were locals working on their laptops for the free WiFi.
The servers and staff.. Well...
