Steam Snacks Bar — Restaurant in West Bengal

A pathetic n lousy restaurant with lousy customers. A perfect blend of bad food, bad service and bad gentry. As you enter the place, u will be greeted with strong smell of food from the kitchen. You climb upstairs for the ac restaurant. The attendants and service people appears to be unpaid for months, comes to you and say nothing other than dosas are available. It was 8.45pm of a Saturday evening. We ordered paper masala dosa and plain cheese dosa. Within 10 mins we recieve two same dosas. Only difference is one had cheese into it in the quantity of 1/4th cheese cube. The other had the alu ka sabzi served with it (not a dosa masala mind it :) ). It was worth noting both the dosas, sambar, chutney remained tasteless. No repeat service of sambar or chutney, (none even available to ask for it u need).

Funniest part is, the gentry was equally lousy ... shouting, howling, quarrelling with each other.

Menu availability- slots are there for breakfast lunch n dinner

Visit here only if u want pure veg and can compromise with service and taste.. no professionalism.. food is just kept on table with no manners thats it. Waiters look unclean . Dirt dust on Sofa As looking for pure veg I visit here but they are providing u seating facility with no kind of manners.

.Monchow soup. Just watery with salty and unusual taste. .Cheese Dosa- cheese that u can see only but can't taste.. Sambhar approx 2 spoon such a less quantity n taste is disappointing. . Chilli panneeer- just small 6 pieces and no words to describe unpleasant taste. Youtube se dekhkar bhi achcha bna lega koi or ye restaurant me serve kr rhe Esa.

Conclusion- go just to have pure veg...

I visited this place for the first time some 6 months back. The food was too good, the service was of top notch. Delighted, I visited again yesterday and all my expectations were shattered. I had to call the waiters thrice, so that the busy people can take my order. (The restaurant had 6 tables vacant, so they weren’t really busy)

The dosa which i ordered was cold, the lassi which i ordered was watery. When questioned, I was given answers like- “Dosa was made fresh, but turned cold on way to my table” Kitchen was just downstairs btw.

About lassi, I was told- This is how a lassi is, have it or we are taking it back.

The waiters are goons there, they do not have the basic courtesy to talk.

I also asked the staff the phone number of the owner, but i was informed that they have the number, but they will not give it to me.

I will never visit again nor I will advice anyone to...
