We were tourists visiting India from Stockholm, Sweden (Europe). Overall, we had a good experience in India but visiting this place spoiled our mood and I will not recommend this restaurant.
Me, my mom, and my sister visited this place during evening. We saw this place on our way to taxis so we thought of buying food and water.
The lady casier sitting with her laptop was extremely RUDE towards us. My mom opened the fridge to buy a cold water for me but their water was warm, and we had the fridge open for like 10 seconds trying to find a cold one then the lady rudely said "close the fridge you are making the drinks warmer", even though they already were warm.
We chicken sandwich for me which was 100 rupees but she tried charging us for 125 rupees, claiming that we took out a lassi even though we were just looking at it (it was also warm and not properly refridgerated).
After paying 100 rupees we sat on the floor outside the restaurant because the few tables they had were occupied and I was feeling a little dizzy after a long day. She kept looking at us with dirty looks a couple times and then came to us and told us to sit properly somewhere else (in a rudely way). So at this point my mom was really getting irritated with her ruddness and we left the restaurant. The sandwich was meh, not that good.
As a outsider visiting India (but my mom being a Non-residential-indian), we DO NOT recomment this restaurant....

This is certainly not the regular ones that you can just stare at and walk away. The location and small but adequate sitting arrangement deserves a mention. I tasted the sandwich and tea, and I am pretty confident it's enough for me to come back again. This is one of those shops that you keep in your "Good" list and hope to come back...
Read moreThe Big Bite is located just beside Biswa Bangla Gate. We had gone to The Big Bite during the evening and ordered Chicken Hakka Noodles. The food quality was okay. The food was prepared within 10 mins. The atmosphere was nothing much with a few tables laid beside the shop it being a road side one. They use wooden spoons and paper boxes which is a sign of eco friendliness. The prices are comparatively low as you can see in the menu I...
