Read moreI went to the restaurant last week with my family for a lunch, with which, I’m writing this review. The restaurant is easily approachable, located at a prime location next to the Lakshman Shruthi Musicals. Parking would be a problem if arriving by car, as it is located near to the signal. Yet, would be sorted out by the staff assigned.
Coming to the restaurant, it was extremely crowded and we waited for around 20 mins to grab a table. There is no proper arrangements or space for the waiting area and can hold up to a maximum of people of 6 to 8. But on the other hand, the service is remarkably good. We got our food delivered within minutes. We got the traditional feel as the food was served on a banana leaf.
Moving on to the food, we ordered a plethora of items like mutton biryani, chicken chukka, chicken intestine gravy, lollipop, mutton chukka etc. All the items mentioned above were well cooked and flavoursome. To a mention, mutton chukka stands out of the box and it is a must-try here. Thoroughly enjoyed the food here and the ambience was pretty good. The food was as similar and authentic as the restaurant’s main outlet in Madurai. Tremendously needs an appreciation for the efforts. But, the pricing could be slightly reduced as the quantity of the food was significantly low.
Overall, if you’re looking for a Chettinad style cuisine this place is worth the...
Read moreNot just the food's quality alone gets 5 star to a restaursnt. it's also how they greet and treat you with food. I recently ordeted Non veg food thaali, surprisingly the white rice quantity not enough for one person, which was not even for my wife who eats reasonably normal. The restaurant could improve in these aspects by giving your customer bowl full of white rice and ask for money for exatr rice...The sever who first served us white rice, it was not even up to the brim of the bowl, when we asked for more rice, he said i had to pay for more rice. If they had given decent amount initially and ask for pay it could have been better. I could have spent and bought more rice had they given good quantity to begin with; however, I didn't buy extra rice by paying. The server's motto seemed to serve lesser rice and make customers to buy more...
Asking for more briyani is not OK, I get that, but atleast you must give your customers (almost all are regular customers) enough white rice. Your staff should not be so conservative and make...
