Vishranthi Veg Restaurant — Restaurant in Zone 13 Adyar

(My earlier review is reproduced below. This holds good except for the steep increase in prices. Sambhar idly is priced at Rs.75/-, which many feel for a non-A/C Self-Service Restaurant is a bit high. Same thing for other food items too. Even quality has come down. Management, Please do something to restore to earlier standards.So I am dropping my rating to 3 star only. ) I visited the restaurant after pandemic restrictions were relaxed. Now fully renovated with more seating arrangements this Self'Serving restaurant is really good!Foodie? You can enjoy tasty vegetarian food always at Vishranti Restaurant. Located on the main Besant Nagar 2nd Avenue road, near to Bus Stand, it never disappointed me at anytime over the last15 years except for the recent visits. Serving with lovely Tiffin menu as well as lunch items. The place is small, with Self-service, but you can just ignore the inconvenience just for the sake of taste. Idli Sambhar, Pongal, Rava Dosai, chapati, Ghee Rava Masala dosa, Rasa Vada, even coffee are very good and my favourites too and as far as taste is concerned there is no comparison with other eateries! You get North indian dishes like Chappati, Parothas, side dishes as well as chinese items like noodles and Chat items. Mini lunch is surprisingly priced at low price and consists of variety rice items like Sambhar Rice, Tamarind rice, Curd Rice Tomato or Keerai( Green leafy vegetable) rice, chips, sweet . Can't go but want to order from home? No problem, food delivery apps like Swiggy are there to get you in 30 mts all the time! Cars can be parked just on the opposite side of the road and two wheelers can be parked just in front of the restaurant...

Im frequent eater in this restaurant atleast 5times ah week.

Morning Tiffins Idly, Dosa and other tiffins also very good taste and best sambar and chutney in this region must try for there sambar better than A2B Suggestion is Tiffins price are in Higher side for self service. Can price cut by 20 percent.

Because, coffee 35 rupees and vada 30 feels higher in price

Mini meals 65 rupees - best combo ever comes with sambar rice, curd rice, brinji, tamarind rice and one poori highly recommended for frequent eaters.

All rices taste good with good quantity

Chapathi is soft and good

Parotta with chana again nice combo

In lunch menu I won't complain the price it's perfect.

I personally like your restaurant very much with love i want to inform an unnoticed issue happening in your restaurant. In Entrance , there 3 to 4 beggers who always torturing and irritating the people who visit. We can't enter and exit the restaurant peacefully. I can feel sad for them but, they irritating too much some small kids grabbing the hands for money. The watchmen in restaurant is useless he sit in one corner watch all the things.

It's a restaurant 700m away from besant nagar beach. A bit crowded. A decent seating capacity. They have a variety of options in tiffin,quick bite, starters, gravy, rice, dosa and beverages. They provide take away.

We brought masala dosa, paneer dosa(pbm), idli, channa batura, badam milk and coffee. The paneer dosa was really great it had lots of paneer as filling. The dosa idli and coffee was good. The batura was a bit rubbery and the channa didn't have salt. The badam milk was also not good it simply had a powdery taste and was too sweet. They have a lot of take aways via swiggy and zomato and other orders, hence there was a very long waiting time.

The restaurant is neat and clean not much parking space is available....
