Ambience is good food and service is not good. Mostly tamil people not in service or in kitchen. The chutneys weren't good, sambar was cold, Dosa not cooked properly and not made well, idli was cold. But I see lot of families amy be from around the area. It has snacks, lot of fried, and bakery items. They miss out on quality of food. Sangeetha down the road is better for south indian tiffins than here. But the atmosphere is ok, I don't like the hand wash in the restroom area which was stinking and not kept or cleaned properly. Service was super slow the duty manager was no good and coughing and sneezing in the service hall and not helping at all. Most service people don't understand tamil which is an issue and reflect in the food quality.

We visited this restaurant for dinner. Ordered garlic podi idly, Thuthuvalai Rasa Vada, Tandoori khatta meetha Soya Chops, Panneer Kothu idiyappam and Virudhunagar Parota. Garlic Podi Idly was good 😊 Thuthuvalai Rasa Vada was yummy 😋 for sour throat and cough 😷 Tandoori Khatta Meetha Soya Chops was very expensive and the taste was okay. It was mixed with soya and Parota Paneer Kothu Idiyappam was subtle in taste (to be precise looks no taste). 😔 Virudhunagar Paratoo taste is good😊 They have variety of sweets and savouries. Nice ambience and good service and starters prices are a bit expensive. Restrooms were very neat and hyneinc. That have valet parking 🅿️ The sofa was not comfortable especially for the elders.

This place was very bad The atmosphere and the serving was good but the food was inedible. The tomato soup was filled with salt. I bet they used all the salt from the ocean for this soup. The food was very cold and made our mood bad. The Mac and cheese was very bad with really less cheese basically only cooked pasta Some pieces of pasta bread was really salty. There was a cockroach on our table which was really concerning. This hotel is really good but need some improvement It was very costly for this food We were not satisfied DO NOT RECOMMEND!

The atmosphere of the restaurant is absolutely enchanting, creating an ambiance that is both inviting and delightful. ✨ The soft lighting, tasteful decor, and gentle background music set the perfect mood for a memorable dining experience. 🌟 As we entered, the buzzing sounds of conversations filled the air, indicating a place beloved by many.

The restaurant staff provided impeccable service, ensuring that every customer was attended to with care and efficiency. Despite the slight crowd, the staff managed the situation gracefully, making sure that everyone's needs were met. The anticipation in the air was palpable, as patrons eagerly awaited their turn to indulge in the culinary delights that awaited them. ⌛️🍽️

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food. We decided to try the pasta combo, which turned out to be an absolute delight. 🍝 The creamy pasta was cooked to perfection, with a rich and velvety sauce that coated each strand of pasta, creating a harmonious blend of flavors. Accompanying the pasta were the crispy and golden French fries, providing a delightful contrast in texture. 🍟 The veg salad, tossed in a delicate drizzle of olive oil, added a refreshing and healthy element to the meal, balancing the richness of the pasta and fries. 🥗

Next up was the veg extravaganza pizza, and it was a true showstopper. 🍕 The moment it arrived at our table, the aroma alone was enough to make our mouths water. Each bite was a burst of flavors, with a medley of fresh and colorful vegetables generously scattered on a perfectly thin and crispy crust. The combination of different veggies and the perfectly melted cheese created a symphony of tastes that left us yearning for more. 😋🎉

To complete our culinary journey, we decided to indulge in a butterscotch milkshake. 🥤 The moment it arrived, we were astounded by the generous portion size, which exceeded our expectations. The creamy milkshake was infused with the luscious flavor of butterscotch, leaving a heavenly taste on our palate with every sip. It was the perfect finale to a remarkable meal. 🍦🥳

Overall, our experience at the restaurant was truly delightful. The ambiance, excellent service, and delectable food created an unforgettable dining experience. It is a place where one can immerse themselves in a world of culinary pleasure, leaving behind the worries of the...

We went here for lunch, finding a car parking was a bit tough, but the valet personnel helped me. They had a sweet stall right at the place where you would enter, which had types of halwa and Mysore pak. They had samples which we can try before we can buy. they were so generous in handing out samples, which I loved, we ended up buying Malpova. The ground floor had a good collection of sweets and savories we did not try any of those, would have to visit them again to try those. we directly went to the first floor/dining hall, they have an elevator and stairs.

There were few chairs outside just in case the dining hall is full. fortunately it wasn't when I visited, we were given a seat right when we entered the hall. We were given options like Divya bhojanam, South Indian meals and the quick meals and the rice of the day(coconut rice) which was surely not my preference. I went for Divya bhojanam, each of us from my family had different items like south Indian meals, quick lunch. We were told what was in the menu when I had to ask specifically before I chose the Divya Bhojanam, looks like all of these change by the day, its better to check before you order.

The food was served as soon as we ordered, was very quick, the disappointment here was the sambhar/Rasam and Kaara kozhambu was not even warm, I had to ask for a new cup of these and they happily refilled as it was unlimited, but lost my first impression. They started with a soup, which was like ground lentil Dhal/sambhar with a sweet(moti choor barfi) and lentil vada. The other thing which we were disappointed were the servers, we have to keep prompting them and request for rice or any other items, that's why they earn a 4 star for service.

they had paruppu podi, oil and pickle. the podi was tasting good. Other items which I loved were Sambhar, Kaara kozhambu and the gongura thuvayal. Curd was served in a clay pot, which was good. The items which weren't up to the mark were the payasam(which tasted like it was made from milk powder), there was no after food sweeteners or sombu (fennel) or Betel nuts, and the deserts, I was initially told an ice-cream but later on was told that it was not ice-cream but water melon juice, which was not good.

Will surely recommend this hotel, but please check before ordering and know what is the menu for the day or go for...

We came in for lunch, as a group of three, drank soups, and ordered assorted breads, and corresponding sidedishes. One of us ordered only rice dishes. This person ate sambar rice, had a sample portion of the above-mentioned rotis and sidedishes, and was waiting for the curd rice to arrive. As this person felt that he wasn't satisfied with the quantity he had eaten(dental issue, so can't eat hard food temporarily), asked if curd vadai was available.

The moment we asked for it, the waiter wryly grinned and told it was available. Much to our disappointment, these were leftover vadais from the morning breakfast batch promptly immersed in curd and boondhi sprayed as soon as the order was placed. Now, the general expectation of curd vadai, is that it remains immersed for a long time for it to have time aplenty to absorb the flavoured curd.

This hence resulted in further strain on the above-mentioned dental issue of the person who consumed it. If they don't have a dish (it was around 1:30 PM, peak lunch time) it's completely alright, understandable. Good waiters even suggest alternatives.

This issue was reported at the time of billing, and I asked if I could give/ register a formal complaint. The waiter said no, they didn't have such a system, and he even suggested that he couldn't bring a manager right now as crowds are building up, he offered to report this incident himself.

So, I took a piece of paper, detailed my issue with them in a handwritten note along with my name, phone number, gave it to the waiter, and requested him to get this to his manager.

I am a regular patron of Sree Akshayam, Alwarpet branch. I've never had an issue with them thus far, until this strange/ obnoxious incident today.

I've nothing but love for the restaurant, it has never disappointed until today. On our way out, even after all this, we still purchased sweets and snacks aplenty from the savouries area downstairs before driving away.

But it's incidents like these which make us doubtful, like a stain on a clean white shirt.

Until I feel like reviewing them...
