Unfortunately, I got bad food poisoning or "Bali Belly" here. It was my last day in Bali and I ate breakfast here. I woke up, felt very good, went to breakfast, few hours later started feeling nauseous and sick. I did not eat in any other places 2 days before (outside of my 5 star hotel), or anything at all after this meal. So I'm 99% sure it could have been only this restaurant, the flight and journey home was excruciating and spent most on toilet.
Update: after reading other low reviews (sort by lowest stars), I'm confident it was from this place. They possibly buy some good reviews to balance it out, or I was unlucky, but not the only one. Do not eat here if you don't want to ruin your trip.
Update 2: Reaction to reply from restaurant:
"However, it is very unfortunate that many details do not match what is available at our restaurant. For example, the price range for our breakfast that you wrote is above 100,000, when in reality the highest price for our breakfast menu is 90,000." - I paid more than 100k. I had Big Garden Breakfast option w/ eggs, beans, sausage, mushrooms etc.. + mixed juice + coffee.
"We also regret that many people praised our breakfast menu, then suddenly you experienced the incident you mentioned." - It may be, but it is also true that other people in reviews mention food poisoning.
I'm sure it does not happen every time, but unfortunately it happened to me. It could have been spoiled eggs / salmonella or bad water/ice in that juice, I don't know. I just know I felt great, had breakfast at your place and 3-4 hours later I was puking, 48 hours later still nauseous. I did not eat or drink at any other...
Read moreIf I could I would give zero - DO NOT go here. As a restaurant aimed at a foreign audience, I thought this would be a safe place to eat given I have a severe nut allergy. I informed TWO members of the wait staff of this allergy and showed them a translation card written in Indonesian that effectively said “I have a severe allergy to nuts including peanuts, cashews, hazelnuts, pistachios and almonds. My food must be cooked with clean utensils and cannot contain nut oils such as peanut oil, or I might die”. Both waitresses told me that NONE of the items on the menu contained nuts. Unconvinced, I proceeded to ask the staff if my specific menu item that I wanted to order contained nuts. I was still told no, it did not contain nuts. I then ordered a veggie burger (so not even a traditional Balinese dish that contains nuts) and had the WORST anaphylactic reaction of my life and had to spend 14 hours in hospital under care. This restaurant is only interested in making money and does not care about the well-being of its patrons; they even refused to order me an ambulance for almost 10 minutes after being asked assertively. At least they did not make me pay for my food after having to be rushed off to hospital - avoid this restaurant...
Read moreI am not sure why this place got 4.5 starts. First I ordered strawberry crush and the waitress got it wrong, got me something else I was like okay I will take it, also ordered mango smile salad but there were 6 pieces of small mangoes and mainly lettuce so they should change the name of this salad to lettuce, 3rd I ordered rib eye steak and she forgot to place my order in the system. When I asked about it she said when she repeated the order she didn't mention it and I didn't say anything but seriously we discussed the steak and even asked her opinion if it is tender etc and she said yes it's good, I have no idea how she got literally everything wrong. So the shisha part comes here, the hand shank or the top of the shisha is big usually and they bring you something to put on to smoke, it was too big and you can't really smoke, bottom line don't smoke shisha here I don't recommend it at all. After everything went this way I spoke with the supervisor and requested I don't pay for shisha, he was very nice and understanding and removed the shisha...
