Luma really is the perfect venue for anyone looking to celebrate life’s most intimate and special moments with loved ones. The cozy, warm atmosphere, combined with outstanding food, drinks, and service, made our day truly unforgettable.

We held our wedding party at Luma on 1 December 2024, and it turned out to be the perfect choice. Luma was actually our third venue after two others didn’t work out, but honestly, it ended up being the best decision we made.

We first dined at Luma two years ago, and the food left such a lasting impression that when it came to choosing a venue, we didn’t hesitate. In fact, we only did our food tasting two days before the party! Hosting a wedding party in a restaurant in Bali isn’t something most couples would think of, but for us, it was everything we hoped for and more.

The menu, crafted by Chef Kieran and his incredible team, was truly next level—far from your typical “wedding food.” Our guests, including those from the F&B industry and friends who flew in from around the world, couldn’t stop raving about it. Every dish was hearty, filling, and made with so much care. You could truly taste the quality and thought that went into each bite. It wasn’t just a meal, it was an experience that brought everyone together and made the night extra special.

A huge thank you to Georgia, the general manager, for her exceptional hospitality and seamless communication throughout. She listened to every detail of our requests, no matter how specific or unusual, and her calm, professional approach reassured us every step of the way. The Luma team worked tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring everything ran smoothly and beautifully. Their genuine care and attentiveness certainly made all the difference.

Thank you so much for giving us and our guests such a meaningful and beautiful celebration. We will definitely be back for the food whenever we are...

I came with such a high expectation and left disappointed.

Beautiful place, probably good food (we did not get our food).

Ordered drinks for happy hour, they said we have to sit at the front porch to be eligible for the happy hour drinks. Ok, no probs.

Once we were done drinking, we moved inside, no one really take our orders, so hard to get their attention.

We ordered appetiser and mains. Croquettes were really good. And the mains never came. My friend asked a waitress and she said she will check and let us know how much longer it takes. She never came back.

We asked another waiter, he checked and he said “oh your mains are not fired yet” so we politely asked him to just cancel them and we asked for our bill.

When the waitress came we asked her why didn't she let us know, she made so many excuse with attitude. She said she doesn’t know we were done with appetisers (well its her job to check on tables she serves isnt it?)

The manager then come. Not to ask whats wrong but just to tell us we don't have to pay for anything. A good gesture but however it felt more like he just wanted us to leave.

What a shame, cuz we were really looking forward eating there. I dont think i will come back until they do something with...

I wish I could leave zero stars for Luma. My girlfriend and I dined here, spending a significant amount of money on what we hoped would be a memorable experience. We ordered the most expensive items on the menu, including yellowtail tuna, wagyu, and several other premium dishes. Instead, we were left violently ill with the worst food poisoning of our lives. It was so severe that we needed private doctors to administer IV drips at our villa, followed by a trip to the hospital.

What’s even more appalling is Luma’s negligent response. They completely denied responsibility without any investigation and showed no interest in identifying what might have caused this nightmare. There was no effort to review the food we consumed or take steps to ensure other customers wouldn’t face the same ordeal. Their attitude toward hygiene and customer safety is nothing short of reckless.

It’s a real shame because the front-of-house staff were polite, and the location is genuinely beautiful. However, none of that excuses the management’s blatant negligence and refusal to take accountability.
