Kailan Crispy Pork for 60 K IDR and Basil Pork in the background for 50 K IDR.
The kailan was cooked perfectly and seems to have shared the wok for just a short amount of time with the crispy pork, thus why the pork was still very crunchy when it reached our table. The pork was delicious and just right for every bite and the kailan was fresh and delightful to eat. There was no bitter aftertaste, so you know the chef knows what she was doing. The sauce was a nice thin layer of flavour which was a bit too salty for me but i guess it does accentuate the freshness of the kailan and the crispiness of the pork. Overall this is a great deal of value for 60 K.
The basil pork was also good and filling and just enjoyable with all its minced textures and fragrance. It does leave a bit of a sweet aftertaste, but i do find it quite an appealing counterpart to the saltiness of the crispy pork or even the warm heat and slight sourness of the 60 K Prawn Tom Yam. The Tom Yam itself is beautifully fresh as i can eat the whole prawn without that bitter aftertaste that one may get from other purveyors when one eats the prawn's head. I love just how subtle the overall flavour of the tom yam is in the sense that one can still identify its major components without them overpowering each other. I also love just how many mushrooms they put in the dish - truly an experience worth revisiting.
Sadly the 30 K papaya salad is a bit of a let down - not that it's bad, mind you, just that one could probably find better salads out there (albeit 30 K might still be very cheap considering its size). Perhaps it is because the cook toned down the spiciness and sourness for a wider audience, but luckily the peanuts in it were really good and helped with the saltiness and crunchiness to contrast the fresh sour papaya and sauce.
Last but not least, the 14 K pineapple juice was really really good. It was quite sizable for such a cheap price and they perfectly blended it with mint to really make it feel cool and fresh without overpowering the main ingredient. It's probably worth visiting just for this!

Read moreMy experience here has always been a toss up. I really want to rate this place 4 star but the service is what is holding me back. The food is amazing! but the service is downright awful. They’re under staffed and don’t understand how to prioritize customers when they’re busy and even when there’s a normal amount of traffic. They need a serious management system makeover or to train their staff. For some odd reason they bring you your food first without utensils. Then you’ll have to keep chasing the waiter down for the other things you ordered after they put 1 dish down on your table (why not bring it all together)?? I see it happening every time I come here with other customers, irregardless of how busy they are It’s like they’re operating on zero common sense.
After coming here multiple times a month and being a very loyal customer I have had it with this place!!
I placed an order at 1 pm to which no one bothered responding to…. Then I called about 5 times to which again, no one responded to. Wanting to know what on earth was going on, and to get the lunch that I had ordered. I drove there in the pouring rain! To get some sort of explanation for this incomprehensible downright bad service.
Upon my arrival, I presented my unanswered messages and calls, only to be met with an extremely disappointing “sorry we are very busy”. Now….. if this sounds like any consolation for an order placed over 2 1/2 hours ago and multiple missed calls, then your business is completely missing the mark. Not even to mention they didn’t offer me anything for the total inconvenience caused. It just seems to me like the staff here are not trained in customer service at all…..
Sadly, I will have to stop coming to this restaurant, mainly for the horrible service. Otherwise I would keep coming as a happy customer. But after todays incident…. Never again. It’s really unfortunate as the food is delicious.
BTW, the reason why this review is so long is because in the end they still made me wait 1 hour...
Read morewe booked a place for a group of 4 and we also confirmed before we came in. we arrived on time and the waitress got us seated. but after we order, we were told to move to other table near the toilet & kitchen because they have another reservation for 12 people. 1) we didn't just come, we also reserved. 2) moving customer to other table while we're already seated is not professional. if you know you have more people coming, don't just tell us to sit without making any plan on where you want us to sit. we waited almost 30 mins for our food to come, and it was ONLY 1 out 5 items that we ordered. there's 10-15 mins gap between each food that came. we asked for cutleries but it took so long just to bring it to our table. the food was decent. please note that we finished our main dishes in no time because we were so hungry and we waited too long. we waited for much longer compared to our eating time. but we still had to wait SO LONG for our dessert. 30 minutes waiting just for a plate of mango sticky rice. after the dessert came, as we were eating it, one of the waitress said to us that there's a group already waiting for the table (basically she indirectly told us to be fast, as if we ourselves want to stay a long time there with no reason). the other group mentioned was waiting beside us and looked at us as if we're not understanding the situation. because of YOUR bad service and management, people looked badly at US. we fully understand that you have limited space and staffs, but you accepted our reservation so GIVE YOUR BEST SERVICE. ALSO DON'T JUST ACCEPT ANY RESERVATION WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH SPACE AND MANPOWER.
I'm never someone who gets so angry over a bad service, and this is my first time getting very mad at a restaurant. don't come here even if you have the...
