I have had the pleasure of dining at Bubu Warung on four separate occasions, and each visit has been an absolute delight. The flavors and quality of the food have consistently impressed me. I tried the Tempe Goreng Bubu; it was cooked to perfection - crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I opted for the Nasi Goreng Vegetarian with no egg as a vegan. The chef accommodated my request graciously, and the resulting dish was a flavorful medley of vegetables, spices, and aromatic rice. It was a wholesome and satisfying meal that I thoroughly enjoyed. And let's not forget the Bubuh Injin! The rich, black rice pudding was a delightful way to conclude my meal. It had just the right sweetness, and the creamy texture was the perfect indulgence after a satisfying meal. This restaurant is the perfect example of don’t judge a book by its cover. This was hands down one of the best Indonesian meals we’ve had in our 3 weeks in Bali. When we walked in, it was empty but we stuck with it based on reviews.

I ordered the Nasi Campur (vegan and the Bubu version [not pictured but has chicken]). I’m not even vegan but opted for it because of someone else’s 5 star review and it was honestly exceptional. The food is made quickly (max 30 mins) and the owner is sooooo nice. It’s the kind of place that you want to give your money to just because of the owner and the love that is put into the dishes.
