Nostimo Greek Grill Ubud — Restaurant in Bali

A rare treat when in bali to find such high quality Greek food as fairly priced in a big tourist area as Nostimo.

I am disappointed I forgot to take pictures of the inside but the decor makes you think you’re in santorini or on the set of mamma Mia! It’s really well decorated and the vibe matches the food. I like that a lot.

Staff were quick to seat us, they offer smoking or non smoking tables, coming from the UK I still find it crazy that you can smoke in restaurants at all but I like they do put the smokers in one area to not bother the non smokers. Good size would easily seat 40 people on a very busy night.

Gyro thought a little small was packed with meat, salad and sauce. Options to choose your own different sauces would have been nice. Egg plant portion was very generous maybe a little too much coriander but not the end of the world. The mixed grill was a delight, all meats superbly done, pork my favourite of them all, great portions and the fries, I am a huge fry enthusiast and this were superb, I would have liked a few more but I always do. They were great. Pitta bread different than I am used to but tasty nonetheless. Olive bread at the start is a nice touch too.

We started with the mezze platter, which featured with tzaziki. The papoutsaki was rich and hearty, layered with tender eggplant, spiced meat, and a velvety béchamel. The lamb souvlaki was grilled to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and paired beautifully with lemon potatoes and a crisp Greek salad.

The service was attentive without being intrusive, and our server took time to explain dishes and offer pairing suggestions. We finished the meal with a classic baklava—sweet, flaky, and dripping with honey.

Prices are reasonable for the quality, making it a great option for a romantic dinner or a group...

Best greek experience. We ordered keftedekia, zucchini fries and fried shrimps as appetizers, for main course we had small greek salad, mixed pork gril and papoutsaki, of course we had to get a dessert as well: loukoumades(honey and cinammon) and greek yoghurt with honey and walnuts. We got the fresh complementary olive bread, amazing taste. The waitress was kind enough to ask how would we like to get our food (as cooked or as courses) and we agreed to go with courses... our food was delivered spot on time, everything nice and hot / cold - depending on the dish itself. Food was fenomenal and tasteful. Everything from appetizers to desserts was great. I highly reccomend loucoumades for dessert (i had the same dessert in Greece and Nostimo delivered not just the same taste and quality, but also triggered the great memory from Greece). Our Chef was Nita and i have to thank her again for cooking amazing food for us. I will deffinetly come back to this place and i would reccomend it to everybody who wants to experience and taste...
