Unique Roasted Pork Restaurant, the place is kinda hard to find because you have to pass through a small dark and gloomy pedestrian road into the hidden restaurant,... feeling adventurous yet? Luckily they put a signboard in front of the road.

The restaurant itself is not kids-friendly, it's gloomy, dark, humid, and often smoky, but the good food kinda make up for it.

Compared to other Batak style Roasted Pork, Siagian Roasted Pork gives off a savory aroma, because they use firewood to roast it, and the outer layer of the pork tastes crunchy, unlike other Batak style Roasted Pork. This is why it's so famous among pork lovers. The price also...

The pioneer of Lapo (traditional hut serving Batak cuisine) in West Java. Located just near Telkom HQ in Bandung. Use google maps to find its alley (car can’t fit in). If you travel via train to Bandung station, it’s just a 13 minutes drive from there.

This legendary stall only serves grilled pork and saksang (stewed pork belly with blood & herbs). Side dishes singkong tumbuk (cassava leaves curry) and pork bone soup. Simple no frills resto. Sambal ijo was very good, too bad they don’t have that tangy mustard sambal as well like other lapo spots. But definitely one of the best...

This restaurant serve typical batak food such as saksang, panggang and pork soup. This place is a little hard to notice from traffic but if you do not ask to people around or have friends in bandung. The taste of the food is not as good as the original taste. The taste quite bad cause the spices in every food served very little. So if you want to eat typical batak food that suits your expectations, this place is not recommended for u. The price not relevant to the quality. The interior of this restaurant is pretty good, but the air circulation...

Lapo Siagian is a Batak Restaurant located in Bandung. It is written on the Lapo Siagian Haji Hasan signboard, meaning that Haji Hasan is not the name of the restaurant owner, but the address it self on Jl. H. Hasan. To go to the restaurant we pass through a small road. At the end of the small road, then seen a wide restaurant door. Lapo Siagian's kitchen looks still traditional, as well as the food processing techniques here. There is a fire pit for cooking up to a large pork roasting area.
