We've been visiting Sadrasa at the new Pullman Bandung several times already for different occasions and it certainly never failed us! After a last minute decision we've went here for the set menu on Christmas Eve. First being a bit sceptical on the low price (we booked without even asking what is included), we were absolutely stunned by what we got. Welcome Eggnog, several courses along with a selection of drinks including wine already part of the package we paid. We then spent Chinese New Year at the hotel for a short staycation and after the previous Christmas experience didn't think twice but booked the set menu again and one more time were absolutely stunned on the selection and quantity of food provided for a very reasonable price. I still remember that at one point we were asking how many more dishes will come, since we were already struggling to try everything brought to our table. But Sadrasa team around Chef Ian (fantastic guy and you'll most certainly see him around!) & the very forthcoming restaurant manager Kiki, is not only doing great on set menus, the breakfast buffet is also huge with a fabulous selection of Asian and Western dishes. Again, my wife and I kept eating even though already full, since we wanted to try ALL of the dishes. And also, they have ice cream at breakfast buffet!! 😁🍦 Now just recently I took my team out for Iftar to Sadrasa, knowing that I won't be failed for sure, while the price at 285k absolutely great value for money compared to other 5* hotels in town charging 350-450k. And again... I couldn't even try everything I wanted since the selection was so huge and everything I tried was so tasty! For tajil already they had 4!! different types of dates, among other yummy things of course. The food selection went from very local (salty Martabak), through Indonesian dishes (try the Sate!), Middle Eastern dishes (2 different types of Shawarma) & also European cuisine (very nice pizza & 4 different types of very authentic Italian pasta sauce at live cooking station). One of the multiple highlights for sure the Kambing Guling! Those are just some highlights, I couldn't even list everything if I tried! I'm a dessert lover and as much as I wanted, I couldn't try it all! Again including ice cream station and a chocolate fountain. One more thing to highlight is the great implementation of health protocols. Besides the usual temperature checking etc. the whole buffet gets served by the team and you won't have to worry about your health & safety! On top of it all I'd also like to mention the bar at Sadrasa and especially their Mixologist Didda! No need to order the same old standard drinks you always order, but just tell him about your favorite spirits and flavors and he'll find the right drink for you. Try the signature drink created by him that is inspired with the local surroundings. My wife and I love Moscow Mule and the one we got here was among the best we've been ever served. With fresh ginger and in a copper mug as it's supposed to be! Overall the place is very highly recommended & we can't wait for the rooftop bar and the Mad Cow restaurant on top of the...
Read moreBad quality of food, worse service, and simply the WORST experience. Me and my family (there are 8 of us) arrived at 19.00 and started to order around 19.30. We ordered 2 lamb rack, striploin, oxtail soup, 2 shrimp, fried rice, and spaghetti. After 30 minutes, the waiter came back informing that the lamb rack is unavailable. My dad was furious and asked the waiter why he hadn’t told us earlier when we had ordered the menu. The waiter explained that they had some miscommunication with the cooks at the kitchen and there was some other illogical explanations (i couldn’t remember what they were). Disappointed, we chose salmon steak and another striploin in exchange for the lamb racks. A few minutes after, 2 striploins came first (the extra striploin that had just been ordered came before the other courses came) and it was INEDIBLE. I took a bite and it was very dry, the sauce was very watery you can taste nothing, well at least the potato was just basic. My brother managed to eat the whole course but got a headache instead for his efforts chewing those loins. My sister couldn’t handle the striploin and spit her bite out after chewing for quite some time so she asked an oxtail soup in exchange (thankfully we didn’t get charged for her striploin). It was 21.00 (took 1,5 HOURS) when all of our courses came (the most confusing part is that the spaghetti came last, i mean... how hard is it to boil some pasta) and the restaurant is not even that crowded!!!!! As if it could get worse, somehow some drinks had just came when we had finished eating (it was mineral water and ice tea.... i mean ??????). My straw broke because they used a go-green-straw made of corn, which is VERY fragile, and i had to ask them 3 TIMES for another straw just to get 1 new straw (ugh awful service). They could’ve used bamboo straw or something less fragile?? Well at least the shrimp was quite delicious; and the oxtail soup, spaghetti, and fried rice was okay. BUT still, NOT WORTH THE PRICE (we ended up paying 2,..mils for this lousy experience). They didn’t even bother taking the dirty plates out after we finished 🤦🏻♀️ I really am confused because I had been to another pullman restaurants and it was always nice. what I am sure is NEVER WILL I EVER come back to this...
Read moreI am writing to provide feedback on my recent dining experience at your Sadrasa restaurant as an Accor Plus Platinum member.
Firstly, as Platinum members, we have come to expect certain privileges and attentive service at Pullman restaurants. However, our experience at Sadrasa fell short of our expectations. We were not seated promptly despite our Platinum status, and the complementary welcome amenity we received incorrectly displayed our membership as "Accor Gold" rather than Platinum.
Additionally, the service was inconsistent - one of the tea/coffee orders we placed was never delivered. We also noticed a lack of non-halal food options, which was disappointing as it limited our dining choices. While we understand the need to cater to Muslim guests, we would have appreciated more international cuisine options.
In comparison, our experiences at other Pullman restaurants have been exceptional. We have typically been seated at the best tables, offered exclusive Platinum member menus and amenities like sparkling water and wine. This made us feel valued as special guests. Unfortunately, we did not receive this level of service and recognition at Sadrasa.
The one positive aspect of our visit was the attentive and friendly cleaning staff, who demonstrated great energy and efficiency.
Regarding the food, we found it to be average in quality. However, the overall busy and disorganized atmosphere of the restaurant detracted from our ability to truly enjoy the meal.
While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pullman Hotel Bandung, we are unlikely to dine at Sadrasa again. We hope that our feedback will be taken constructively to improve the guest experience for Platinum members like ourselves.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. We look forward to many more pleasant stays at Pullman properties...
