Sumthin' Else from Herd — Restaurant in Bandung City

I give them 2 stars because they have few good coffee, despite terrible experience. Few things that i’d like to point out.

Me and my friend got kicked out after 1 hour, despite ordering 5 cups and despite 4-5 empty seats next to us. Their excuse was that we only get 1 hour per session.

No toilet. You need to go all the way to the next door cafe to use their toilet. It was difficult during rainy season.

Inconsistent brewing. Been here about 7 times, but despite their fancy equipments, their espresso based coffee lack consistency. Seriously, I actually bought the beans, brew my own coffee at home, and it came out better lol.

Poor attitude. You can tell that some of their baristas act as if they are the best coffee shop in the world. You are not! And you are far from it! Unwelcoming, unaccommodating, and it feels like they just want you in and out the place quickly.

Compared to places like Chon Tea or Omakafe, the whole experience fell short by a lot. I’ve been to many slow bar, experience bar or omakase before, and usually places like these are warm and welcoming. They make you feel comfortable and they try to make you enjoy the...

Sumthin' Else from Herd Roastery is an exceptional slow bar that offers a high-quality and immersive coffee experience. Located on Jl Progo, reservations are highly recommended due to the limited seating capacity of approximately 10 people.

I had the pleasure of trying their espresso and hot cappuccino, both of which were crafted with the Pink Panther blend from Herd. The espresso was mildly acidic with notes of orange marmalade, while the cappuccino had a smooth and silky texture, although it did tend to bubble rapidly after a minute. The Panama Janson Kamala Lot 222 was also a gratifying experience, with no lingering bitterness.

In addition to the café, Herd Roastery also has an on-site showroom where they showcase their freshly roasted coffee beans, as well as an array of merchandise and brewing equipment available for purchase. This establishment is a must-visit destination for coffee...
