My visit to Sei Enam offered a mix of positives and negatives. On the plus side, the food had its highlights. The Salted Egg Hepo (Slipper Lobsters) were delicious, boasting flavorful sauce and perfectly cooked seafood. The Garlic Chicken also impressed with its savory and satisfying taste. Additionally, the freshly-made fruit juices were a refreshing treat, and I highly recommend trying the Kedondong juice.
However, the service fell short of expectations. Despite only having two tables occupied at the time, it took nearly 20 minutes to receive our food, which felt like a long wait. Additionally, there was confusion regarding payment options. The staff initially appeared unsure about whether Paywave was accepted, and it took several staff members to figure out how to process payment.
The restaurant itself embraces a minimalist decor, which may not appeal to everyone seeking a more vibrant atmosphere. For those seeking a livelier experience, the neighbouring seaside eateries along the Harbour Coast might offer a better fit at a similar price point.
Overall, my visit to Sei Enam was a neutral experience. While the food had its moments, the slow service and lack of a vibrant atmosphere detracted from the...

Starting with the cabbage soup, it lacked the expected depth of flavor and fell short on taste. Moving on to the hotplate egg tofu, it was slightly dry and failed to impress. Although the spicy fish was passable, the cereal prawn was a letdown as it stuck to the skin, suggesting that it may not have been fresh. The chicken dish had an unusual taste and was overly salty, which detracted from the overall dining experience. Additionally, the broccoli and vegetables were bland and undercooked.
Lastly, the dessert was a disappointment as it appeared, tasted, and smelled watered down with syrup. The lychee and nata de coco, which were meant to taste like mango, were not up to par, and overall failed to meet expectations.
In conclusion, while the ambience, environment, and service were pleasant, the food failed to leave a lasting impression. The dishes lacked flavor, freshness, and were underwhelming. I recommend the restaurant focuses on improving the quality and taste of their dishes to match the high standard set by their ambience...
Read moreWe wanted to have a nice seafood dinner, googled and found Sei Enam listed among the top 5. As we are staying at Harbour Bay area, we thought to check out the sea facing restaurants first. The promenade was crowded and the air had strong sea smell that we found to be unpleasant. Still, we checked out 3 sea facing restaurants but the menu didn't attract us. We thought we give Sei Enam a chance, even though it's situated at an inside road with no view of the sea and in fact had construction site behind which looked a bit messy. The restaurant has simple setup, plain white with very little deco. We were the first customers at 6pm, attended to prompted by the staff. We were pretty hungry and ordered 7 dishes and 3 drinks even though there were only 3 of us - cereal prawn, seafood youtiao, ngohiang, broccoli, black sauce chicken and salted egg sotong. Total bill was less than Rp600k. The food quality was great and the portion was generous. We thought we couldn't finish what we ordered but in the end we finished all! I would say Sei Enam is a hidden gem. We will definitely come again and it deserves...
