We ordered 3 plates of food and respectfully, they were the worst chicken, cauliflower and seafood pasta that we’ve ever tried.
This food quality is neither worthy of the price nor is it anywhere close to our expectation from an upstanding brand of the likes of Andaz. AVOID.
The service and the atmosphere were very nice. The staff did not seem to know how to react when we reported how abysmal the food was but was otherwise attentive. It was ironic that they had such pleasant cutlery and tableware, while the main focus - the food - hardly delivered. An unforgettable juxtaposition.
Being our first meal here, it has left an impression to us that the food in Bali was subpar. The chicken was way worse than what you could get from a Waitrose roasted chicken or a packaged DIY roast. The pasta was sour, bland and lukewarm. Village Square - Blue Oven at Andaz is a fantastic addition to the Sanur dining scene, offering a delightful menu of Mediterranean cuisine and pizzas. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the reasonable pricing, which aligns well with other restaurants in Sanur.
The gnocchi is a standout dish—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. It’s definitely one of the highlights of the menu that I highly recommend. The bread served here is also excellent, fresh and warm, making it a great accompaniment to any meal.
Overall, the atmosphere at Village Square is inviting and vibrant, making it a lovely place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The combination of delicious food and reasonable prices makes this restaurant a must-visit in Sanur. I look forward to returning to try more of...
Read moreBlue Oven is the Mediterranean style eatery at Village Square in the Andaz Bali. The usual decor of blue/white tiles, tables and chairs with metal legs, wood beams etc makes it stand out amongst the rest of the restaurants at Village Square.
The menu is simple and basic, without much Mediterranean food. Basically it’s a simple Western style restaurant. Don’t expect pizzas burgers or hotdogs!
Date harissa chicken wings were ok. Mildly sweet with very little spice. Wings were nicely cooked. Tasty.
Beef short ribs tagliatelle was decent. It came with extra sauce. Pasta is homemade and cooked al dente. Not too bad.
The whole roast chicken looked delicious on the table next to me!
Wine list is limited with the basic champagne, white and red wines. Can’t expect too much.
After a few days of eating Indonesian food, this is a...
