Lovely cafe. We had breakfast here instead of having in hotel on 8th Feb, because good coffee is our daily fuel and glad we did it. It was raining season in Labuan Bajo and the view of sitting outside of the cafe is great. The outside part of the cafe is higher than the road level as you can see in the picture, it gave a good vibe. The staff was super friendly and recommended the freshly-baked bakery to us. They also patiently explained the flavor of different coffee bean for manually brewing to us. Highly recommend the manual brew coffee. It's better than the Italian coffee. As Chinese tourist, only a few staff would ask me to review on the Google map, but glad the staff in KOMODOUGH did. Their good quality of food and coffee and warm-heart service definitely deserve a 5-star ranking. Ps.: The logo design is brilliant- The combination of a croissant and Komodo Dragon! I can't help buying a merchant! The best souvenir I got...
Read moreThe branding at this establishment is nothing short of exceptional. The clever wordplayâmelding Komodo and Sourdoughâis as impressive as the artistry behind their logo. The illustration of a Komodo dragon that doubles as a pastry? Absolutely ingenious.
As someone with a marketing background, I couldn't help but marvel at the thoughtfulness behind every detail.
We appreciated the variety of pastries and desserts available, you could definitely taste the quality ingredients. The Arabica coffee was solid, leaning towards the acceptable rather than extraordinary, but still a pleasant companion to the sweet offerings.
I also picked up 20 pieces of their beautifully packaged OG sourdough cookies for the dive team to enjoy. The quality speaks for itself, and when it's this good, supporting local talent becomes a joy rather than an obligation.
Cheers to innovation, flavor, and the community of...
Read moreEscape the scorching heat of Bajo at this cozy spot with reliable air conditioning. I found their butter croissant absolutely delightful â buttery, flaky perfection, though a bit pricey at 38k, it's understandable given the scarcity of food suppliers in Bajo. However, I wasn't as impressed with the almond croissant; it seemed to have an unexpected cranberry twist.
Their ice shaken espresso was enjoyable, though it didn't pack as much of an espresso punch as advertised with its three shots. Overall, I highly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch, especially if you appreciate a comfortable indoor setting with AC and crave a delicious butter...
