NY Crab Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Flores

Despite the many good reviews (which may be bots) we had a really bad experience with the service. The staff did not speak english at all and got my order wrong because of it. I ordered fried fish and also pointed to the dish on the menu so that they could understand it. It turned out that somehow the waiter confused french fries with fried fish so that I only got french fries. French fries and fried fish weren't even on the same page. First, I did not notice because the fried fish also came with french fries but after waiting over an hour (my partner received and already ate his dish during that time) we asked about the order and it took almost another hour till I received the food which was seemingly not fully cooked. Loved the vibes of this cosy place! We were at the rooftop, and had a magnificent sunset view. Initially, blocked by clouds by in its last 20 min, the sun with its golden rays blessed our group before setting into the horizon. The fish, squids, prawns were freshly bought from the market and prepared in a variety of way. From bnq grilled to cooking with tamarind, lemon with lots of garlic. Literally the best crab restaurant in Labuan Bajo!

The ambiance is great! Second floor has nice air conditioned rooms with chic Japanese-y decor. We sat on the top floor for lunch with a beautiful view of the ocean and a nice breeze.
