Bakmi GM - Thamrin City Mall — Restaurant in Jakarta

Bakmi GM at Thamrin City Mall is a branch restaurant of the popular Bakmi Gajah Mada restaurant. This restaurant is located at Thamrin City, the wholesaler market for fashions, batik, and other fashion stuff. The location is strategic for the restaurant and no wonder at lunchtime or late afternoon the restaurant is always full of customers.

The menu mostly is similar to another branch and the signature dish is a noodle, any kind of noodle you can ask from the plain noodle only to the special noddle with mushroom. But if you don't want to eat noodle, there are rice menus with many variant dishes, such as black pepper chicken rice, dumpling chicken rice, meatball chicken rice, etc. For a side dish, this restaurant has a lot of variant things from meatballs, shiomay, etc and the most popular one from this restaurant is crispy fried dumpling. Food wise, it’s one of my favorite restaurants for chicken and meatball noodles.

My favorite is their special bakmi GM, complete with chicken toppings, dumplings and meatball. I also love their pangsit goreng or fried dumpling. Another favorite menu is tahu bakso or mixed tofu, chicken & shrimp.

Brilliant restaurant that served tasty food to our surprise. We thoroughly impressed by the Service Culture and Standards of this eatery. The staffs led by Supervisro Andrian were well-dressed and well-coordinated. Coming from Singapore and specifically Changi Airport where I work, this place is truly amazing. They really deserved our compliments. A factor to improve is the aircon to perhaps increase abit. Other than that they did great!! Thumbs up to the chefs too! Well done Bakmi GM Thamrin...
