Bornga Blok M — Restaurant in Jakarta

We had dinner at this Bornga outlet and ordered foods seen in pictures. In general, the foods were good. But we liked suntofu more. The soup tasted really good. Of the meats from set menu B, we liked daepae and yangnyeom more than kalbi. The kalbi was rather hard. The gyeran jjim was okay. The banchan was mostly good, especially the salad, the rice cake, and the macaroni. The services were prompt and helpful. The ambiance was comforting. We got a free yuzu mojito for writing this review and got iced coffee and sliced fruits as a compliment. We spent a total of nearly 891k for three people.

Coming back for another dinner session, we ordered set menu A, which had such beef meats as beef ribs, bottom sirloin triangle, and beef loin (see picture). The meats were all tender and juicy. We went to Bornga Blok M today to have a nice Korean grill. In the menu was a photo of a dish which looked like what we expected. We asked the waitress if we could grill it at the table and she said yes. The grill was set up but instead of the meat and vegetables coming separately, ready to grill, the dish came in one plate all mixed together. We asked the waitress to separate meat and vegetables so we can grill it and she said the dish is meant like this and can't be separated. We then asked to change the untouched and uncooked dish for the grill dish we expected. The answer was that this dish is already ordered and can't be changed. The management took no initiative to solve the issue. We then immediately paid the over IDR 450k bill and left the restaurant with the uncooked dish untouched. Unfortunately immediate profit was more important than any customer...
