Goedkoop — Restaurant in Jakarta

Just by looking at their name and atmosphere, one can say that this is Netherland themed cafe with vintage style.

There is old piano in here that can be played. Luckily for me when i come here, there is man played it so i can hear the beautiful sound.This place theme also affect the foods, drinks, and snacks name.

One downside is that this place feels too "crowded." The positioning of tables and chairs are too closes with each other, so for me personally i don't really like it.

But !

Judging from the price, taste, service, and quality no wonder they had to put so many tables and chairs near each other because I'm pretty sure this place is popular so they have to put as much tables and chairs as they can.

Can't say much, this place is great. Not too expensive and have great coffee too (they used Gianty roastery beans) The food taste really great (Pretty sure in other cafe they will charge you more with this kind of quality and taste.)

There is one woman (as the cashier) that made this place as the worst service ever I have experienced. Overall is sophisticated: the coffee and the food, but the service. My friend and I asked her politely to please help us to take a picture, because one of the backgrounds is cute. I am sort of view that our request is normal when you adore a place and want to have at least a documentation of it. However, we got a very surprising response from her. She said "aduh mba saya lagi sibuk, sori ya." Dengan nada yang sedikit sinis. ("Oh I'm busy, sorry" with a little cynical tone) and my friend and I were like... speechless. Another issue is she broomed the floor when all customers were still there eating and enjoying their foods, while it was 1,5 hours to close (still a long time dude), without any prior notification that she was about to clean up. I mean, it's just not polite and the dust is annoying. For me and my friend, enough to come there.

If you are very hungry but your friend just want to sip coffee, Goedkoop is a perfect idea as this coffee shop serve also heavy meal or snack for quick bite. The menu divers from coffee and non coffee beverage, breakfast starter, western food and popular Indonesian dish choice. Their Nutella Frappie is amazing.But don't try Gourmet Indomie. It is very disappointing. Their creativity ruin that popular taste of Indomie. The cafe is two-storey building. But the second floor is used for office, so the seat is limited in the first floor. This coffee shop is always busy in the afternoon and night even if it is weekdays. You'd better book the place online or you want to be in the waiting list. it is located in the busy Bendungan Hilir street. For you who drive your own car must be patient with Inner Jakarta traffic. Plus, the parking lot is just suffiesient for 5 cars
