The Atjeh Connection Bendungan Hilir Raya — Restaurant in Jakarta

Me and my friend got here for dinner. The waiter and waitress were attentive. When you sit down they will offer you with traditional snacks for purchases. The taste was quite nice for all 4 types of snack. We ordered “Mie Aceh”, one “goreng” and another one “tumis”. I waited mine for almost 25 mins while my friend waited for 35 mins. Here’s the catch, there’s only like 10 other person in the restaurant that have arrived before us. Some already started eating. When the food arrived the taste was below standard. I’ve tasted a much better one with half the price. My friend got something worse, her food, the “mie aceh tumis” even tasted sour like in the ingredients used already gone bad or in Indonesia called “basi”. They did not charged her food though. A good place to get your daily dose of caffeine or some Aceh authentic treats to accompany your coffee. The coffee is good, especially the sanger, a small glass of coffee blended with sweetened condensed milk that tastes just as strong as what I had in Aceh. Pair it with some timphan, cane, martabak, or other delicacies to match. The service is somehow good. They smile a lot, which is nice. But you need to remind the waiter/ess just in case you find your order takes longer, as they maybe forgot to send your order to the kitchen earlier. This place, just like the other traditional Indonesian coffee shops, is filled with people smoking. If you had asthma or just cannot stand smokes, maybe you better have your coffee...

The place is cramped. There's nothing special with the food and drinks. It's too expensive and not worth the price, what did you get? The food taste normal the portion is hideously small (it's not the size of rice or noodles but the topping is non existent) and the restaurant doesn't have a good interior design. I don't understand what's this restaurant selling point exactly? Even the waiters seems overwhelmed with the order. I asked twice for a refill on my tea and I finally left without getting a single refill... *Below is the appearance of 25000 idr of lemon tea, dine in and they use a plastic cup.
