A restaurant from Berlin who specializes in Thai food located in Jakarta?! Guess who decided to pay this restaurant a visit, of course, me🙋🏻‍♀️

• 𝘼𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙮 𝙁𝙞𝙨𝙝 (290𝙠) ✨✨ This is soooo refreshingly good!! Ikannya seger, gak bau amis sama sekali, dan halusss lembut. What made it even better is the lime and chili sauce. It’s fresh, tangy, and spicy; very comforting🥹🫶🏻

• 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝘿𝙪𝙘𝙠 (290𝙠) ✨✨ Don’t get me started on this one. First of all, the duck didn’t even taste like duck? 🦆 There’s no strange odor and/or taste. Aaaand, dagingnya crispy on the outside but very soft on the inside. This dish is giving fried but soaked kind of delish, sukaaa banget sama “kuah”nya. It’s kinda spicy and herby. I lovelovelove it!🫶🏻🫶🏻

• 𝙎𝙤𝙛𝙩-𝙨𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝘾𝙧𝙖𝙗 (130𝙠) They nailed the salted egg sauce! Most of my colleagues loved it, but to me, nothing really special hehehe

• 𝙋𝙖𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙞 (135𝙠) ✨✨ I’ve never been a big fan of pad thai, but theirs just BLEW MY MIND. It’s SOOOO GOOD?!! 🤯🤯 Even lebih enak daripada Pad Thai yang kucoba di Thailand wk very flavorful, tangy, intinya perfectly made👌🏻

• 𝙈𝙞𝙭 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙧 (220𝙠) You got the bit of each of their appetizers; somm tamm, cheesy spring, calamari lime, and prawn cakes. I only tried the somm tam and calamari lime. Not a big fan of the somm tamm and the calamari was just okay, good thing that the squid wasn’t rubbery.

• 𝙏𝙤𝙢 𝙔𝙪𝙢 𝙂𝙪𝙣𝙜 (125𝙠) I’ve tasted better tom yum elsewhere hehehe not that it’s not good, but I personally think you can skip their tom yum. The prawns were fat and fresh tho!

• 𝘾𝙖𝙩 𝙁𝙞𝙨𝙝 𝙎𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙙 (130𝙠) ✨ What’s good and special is that it’s made from catfish?! Tapi gak berasa makan ikan lele lol agak aneh aja, in a good way I guess? Love this salad than the somm tamm hehehe seger!!

• 𝙂𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣 𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙮 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙥𝙮 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 (150𝙠) Ignore the plating and presentation, because the flavor was LEGIT!!! OMG, I've tried green curry once before di restoran Thai terkenal daerah Jaksel and I was disappointed. But this one?! It’s SOOO good!! The chicken was good too, masih remain crispy walau udah kerendam sama kuahnya

• 𝙂𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙆𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣 (70𝙠)Your usual garlic kailan, good for your additional source of fibers and veggies intake ;)

𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 & 𝙎𝙞𝙙𝙚 𝙉𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙨 I will definitely come back here for their pad thai alone HAHAHA also for their drunken duck, green curry, and angry fish It's safe to say that they serve solid food. Can't say that it's authenticccc because I haven't tasted that much Thai food before, but it's legit. Their protein options appetizers/salad, I guess Price range is relatively high, but their portion was quite hugeee. Go here in groups, jadi bisa cobain banyak...

I recently visited Goodtime Restaurant Jakarta with high hopes for a fun and enjoyable evening, but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations. Here's a breakdown of the issues I encountered:

Overpriced Food: The first let down was the price of the food. While I understand that Jakarta can be a pricey city, the prices at Goodtime seemed particularly inflated for the quality offered.

Insensitive Alcohol Sales: Given that my visit coincided with Ramadan, I found it quite insensitive of the restaurant to continue selling alcohol. It felt disrespectful to the spirit of the holy month.

Average Service: The wait staff, while not rude, weren't particularly attentive or friendly either. The service was just average, which is especially disappointing considering the restaurant's name.

Unpleasant Ambiance: The final blow was the overall ambiance of the restaurant. It felt loud and chaotic, giving me a headache by the time I left. This made it difficult to relax and enjoy any kind of conversation.

Overall, my experience at Goodtime Restaurant Jakarta was a major disappointment. I left feeling ripped off and frustrated. If you're looking for a good value meal with attentive service in a pleasant atmosphere, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere. Place looks stunning; has average service and food that could benefit from a few twists.

Interior is very nice and spacious; very modern design yet cozy.

Staff is friendly; but lacks experience ( eg we specifically ordered two starters; got one starters and then the main course curry came; then the second starter came and then the last main course curry - all with rice coming last).

Were offered dessert as a gesture; were recommended a dessert and when we took it; were told it’s out of stock? Second option was also out of stock as was number three…

Their larb gai has a spice level of 3 as per their menu but was extremely bland and had zero spice.

Curry’s were good; but would benefit from chicken instead of crispy chicken.

Description on menu is hit and miss; some curries say specifically crispy chicken while the last curry only says chicken but unfortunately also was soggy former crispy chicken in a curry.

Their plates are awesome; every dish that comes look like an art piece.

Quality felt better than their Berlin...
