Valhalla Jakarta — Restaurant in Jakarta

The place is an excellent and proper discotheque, or club. The temperature, the lighting, adequate floor space for "ngefloor", the sound system, all and all this is the place where you "go clubbing" which is rare nowadays.

Now my complaint. I visited the place on Saturday night around 1am, the DJ was .. I forgot, I think his last name was MHR or AHMR or something like that. I hit the floor armed to the teeth to have a blast and sweep clean the floor, however;

First, the DJ played 16 bars!! What I mean is, 16 bars of song and changed the song. You cant barely tuned in to the beats, once you got a lock on, he changed the music and you lost the vibe.

Second, the other guy who holds the mic, he always blabber something and ends with," are you ready!!". You cant make any two cents of what he was saying and can only make out the last part," are you ready!!!". Over... and over... and over again. That guy, can and definitely need to learn one or two things from Scooter.

Third, when the DJ played 32 bars, he played low bass, look low bass is great if you're "on" something, but, if you're only on alcohol intake, it'll take you nowhere. It apparent from the crowds.

Lastly, towards 2.30am, the DJ was drunk!! The transition messed up. I bailed out.

I've been around, I know what a good club is. Valhalla is an excellent place and especially great southern options if you're not willing going further up north. I definitely will return, but, I think I'll put an extra effort to check who's on the turntable.

And oh yea, people, stop taking photos and have fun. Jeezzz, I can't believe I'm saying this. This is the place to make a moment and no...

I come here pretty often especially when there’s hardstyle / peak techno DJ coming to town as the sound and lighting systems are great.

Drinks are on par with any club/bar around senopati area, not too expensive. Not sure about food tbh, only tried their canapes and snacks before and had no complaints.

Staff were nice as long as you paid for everything and u dont do weird things. Ample space of toilets (love this!).

Place is horrible. Some of the items are overpriced, the crowd is also horrible, they don’t dance, they just stand still like stones and are too comfortable to be in their tables. Oh and the music is also terrible, the WORST thing i’ve ever heard was that they mixed acid techno with a sound from TikTok. Stay away from this place, it would be better if you go to Colosseum or some other decent night...
