Gultik blok M — Restaurant in Jakarta

the place is easy to reach in Blok C (near Blok M) on the intersection of Mahakam and Bulungan Street, the parking is spacious but sometimes it is quite hard due to the location as an on road parking.. so you have to be quite familiar with Jakarta's (or Indonesian's) street parking way of life...., the restaurant is not good, it's not air conditioned, it is like an road side open air food vendor,... the food was very delicious, altough has a small portion.. please expect a rice, beef stew (gulai), a rice cracker (kerupuk) and a goodie goodie goodness sambal on the side.. sometimes with Teh Botol as the go to drink... together combined to be a very rich flavored delicacies... the services are a bit different.. they are like a conglomeration of different Nasi Gulai vendors.. so you can with a little bit of try and fail method.. look for the best service and best place to have a nice view of the Roundabout... Most of them are friendly, -- a uniquely Indonesian way of service.. the price is average of its kind.. please expect around 10.000 to 30.000 Rupiah per visit for one person... it is recommended for foodies.. due remember.. no bathroom readily available.. and please be advised do not expect the place to be squeaky clean.. it is a street vendor spot with a loose rules on hygiene.. but I would argue a uniquely Jakarta's experience..

please be ready.. sometimes a school brawl will erupt between the two of the most notorious senior high school in South Jakarta.. 6 senior high school and 70 senior high school.. it is quite a scene to be honest.. hey... on the bright side.....

Famous gultik aka gule tikungan or some mention "gule tikus", you never get enough for one plate, normally will have two or more, legend culinary in jaksel, now is neat and clean, also I think government support them since only use pedestrian but all well manage even parking guy is cleaning the place. Located behind famous blok M plaza, and not far from BlokM MRT station. Recommend for hang out with friends and placed outdoor so it's fine to have some cozy place...

udh paling bener kayaknya kalo makan gultik yg di pak agus budi aja sm yg di bengkolan seberang bakso boedjangan tpi yg bener2 pas di bengkolan nya yg ada jualan arum manis aja yaa guys. gentong yg pertama & kedua pokoknyaaa yg prnah dicoba.

nah ini yg first time ngalamin kali ini di deretan bengkolan itu jg tpi gue lupa yg penjual gerobak centong yg brp nya baru selesai bgt makan, minum jg blm ada setengah abis msh ngunyah sate bakso yg tinggal sebiji langsung di usir halus, piring gue diangkat,suami bru idupin rok*k nah karna ada customer baru yg lebih byk dri gue 7/8 org gue lupa jdi gue kalah krna cuma berdua dan pesen 4 piring sm sate2 an doang kali jadi kayak "krna pesen dikit mending lo cabut" anjirlah Pdhal pas gue pesen ngambilin nya jg lama, sibukkk aja manggil2 in org buat ke booth nya ga fokus selesaiin customer yg udh ada di meja. Krna mereka ga sopan gue jg ga sopan pas bayar dgn ngomong " eh mana qris lo tapi lo mau gue cepat pergi" kelar bayar gue ga liat mereka lagi & jg ga say thankyou atau apa,yakali msh di baik2 in krna gue disini beli bukan ngemis.

jadi mending kalian prefer pilih yg gausah heboh deh yg jualannya sm yg msh ada space kosong aja gausah yg kayak gue pilih dgn title "rame nih yg ini aja" eh malah...
