harlan + holden coffee - pacific place — Restaurant in Jakarta

Gotta two thumbs up fo the designer of the cafe. Feels very much like a fashion boutique rather than a place that sells beverage.

Before you order, you need to download their app and pay within the app. Quite a hassle for those we do not frequent this place. Had to delete the app after the visit as I probably will not come back.

I ordered their iced latte with option for a light roast single origin coffee bean priced at 43K. Expected something flavourful, sweet, tangy/acidic taste but it was very lackluster. Tasted quite bland to be honest, and the ice latte wasn’t as cold as I hoped. However, my friend ordered a hot chocolate, and he said he loved it and deemed it as one of the best hot chocolate in town. So maybe if you are a chocolate lover, you might want to give it a try.

Located in Pacific Place mall, there is plenty of parking space available and it was not crowded at all during a friday afternoon.

Overall, pretty dissapointed with the taste of the coffee but maybe because of my expectation...

for me and my family as regular coffee drinker, their coffee was not it. i dont know how they made such bitter tasting coffee but its really unpleasant tasting. i order the sea salt latte as it was said as the best seller one, the taste was odd for me the saltiness overwhelms everything if you keep drinking it. at first i thought it was okay decent, but as i drink more i cant manage to finish it. for the next one i order latte as i think ordering a latte you can judge how good their coffee is, and it turns out the same. the same unpleasant bitterness. but the place is really beautiful tho so my experience there was 10/10 but the coffee is not for me sadly...

I used to frequent the one in Manila and just tried the one here in Jakarta. This is a brand obsessed with perfection — and it shows in the details, and the thoughtful simplicity that requires a lot of work to get right.

If it’s on the menu, it’s been obsessed and mulled over and scrutinized to the nth degree. They get it right.

The cold brew is immaculate: bold yet fresh, strong yet subtle. Among the best I’ve tried anywhere in the world. The cookie is chewy yet textured, and the perfect combination of sweet, salty, bitter.
