Penang Bistro Central Park — Restaurant in Jakarta

My visit to Penang Bistro was an adventure in flavors, showcasing the rich and diverse culinary landscape of Malaysian cuisine. The ambiance of the bistro set the stage for a promising dining experience, with its warm lighting and comfortable seating inviting a relaxed meal.

The menu was a vibrant tapestry of Malaysian favorites, each dish promising an authentic taste of Penang's street food culture. The standout dishes were the Manggo Kung Pao Chicken, a delightful mix of sweet-savory-and salty chicken, and the Roti Canai Tissue with Cheese, a large sheet of crepes-like dough with sweetened condensed milk and cheese.

However, there was a noticeable lapse in the service, particularly in the delivery of food. The Cumi Saus Tom Yum, while packed with flavor, lost some of their appeal as they arrived at a temperature less than optimal even though it's on hot plate. It seemed as though the food had been held for a while before being served, which detracted from the otherwise excellent...

I love the food and the ambience. The place is spacious. A nice place to do a formal work meeting, a family gathering, or even hangout with friends. From the very first step, I can feel its luxuriousness. Some people would say it was overprice, but I guess the price was worthy enough to get that kind of food and to feel the atmosphere. (Sounds exaggerated, right?). Hmm for the service? I didn't experienced any special treatment like I heard, but it was quite okay & they're still nice though. Anw, I'd love to come back particularly for a family dinner/lunch.

I spent around 1.7mio by ordering: White rice 6 Mango chicken 1 Ayam goreng terasi 1 Mayonaise shrimp 1 Deep Fried Grouper with Thai Sauce 1 Fried Tofu Jiran 1 Malay Mee Goreng 2 Garlic spinach 1 Ebi string bean 1 Kepiting soka 1 Singapore crispy sotong 1 Roti Canai Chicken Curry 1 Tea...

It provides secluded dining area. Not exposed to the crowdnes of mall customers. Nice interior and have good view to the city if you seat near the window. The food is delicious though it is more expensive than any other similar type of restaurant. Beware with crowd time as they are short of staff or what…. My simple dishes (ordered based on waitress’s recommendation is not as fast as we think it should be). When I asked, I can see the food is no longer steaming hot. It must have been on the serving table for quite a while. I’m kinda disappointed. No explanation and no compensation either. Well, not really expecting compensation but the service is not as 5 stars as...
