MM Juice Melawai — Restaurant in Jakarta

Came here for a quick lunch at the classic place to go. Located near Blok M Square and MRT Blok M BCA station, strategically accessible by car & bike as well. The place has 2 floors - 1st has indoor & outdoor seatings, 2nd has indoor smoking seating. Aircon is plenty to cool off the Blok M heat at 12PM.

Don’t be intimidated by the resto’s name as they have wide array of Indonesian main courses (fried rice, kwetiau, noodle, soto) as well as condiments (siomay, batagor). Of course, the juice & drinks are plenty to choose, all at a relatively fair price.

The fried chicken kwetiau is spicy and chewy, a bit oily but that’s given. Portion is generous. Their rainbow blast (watermelon juice with orange syrup) is refreshing and not too sweet. Both are part of their special lunch combo from 11AM-2PM, all for 50k IDR.

I have eaten better mie goreng ayam. Had time and was hungry at Blok M. Asked Google Maps for a fast bite and found this - MM Juice Melawai. They had my favorite Indonesian noodles on their menu for 42.000 IDR. Order at the cashier was easy and fast. After 5 minutes my mie goreng ayam came and I choose the outside area to eat. The first look at the meal was ok - it looked a bit pale. The taste was also like the look - needed a lot of Sambal and kecap manis on top. But the worst was the chicken meat. MM JUICE MELAWAI, Posisi 50 meter dari kantor. Hampir tiap hari makan siang dan malam di tempat ini. 5/7 dlm seminggu. Dan 2/7 dalam seminggu MAKAN DENGAN STAFF SAYA 5-7 ORANG. Hanya service belakangan KURANG MENYENANGKAN!!!
