Wandering around lotte avenue to find a decent place to eat, since most of the restaurant here is easily found at other mall. Found noodle king, been here before and I like the jajangmyeon. Decided to try the jjampong. But couldn't decide which one, so go with set which include jjangmyeon and jjampong (92K) . Portion wise are enough for a big eater like me. You can have option for halal or non halal. And, I love the Jjampong, they are generous with seafood, squid , clamp, chuck of octopus, big prawn. And all of the seafood cook nicely, except the squid kinda chewy and hard. But I love the broth, its on the sweet savory hint of spicy side. I love jampong, but most of the time it is kinda too spicy for me. If you dont like too spicy just a hint, noodle king Jjampong is definitely for you. Sadly for the jjangmyeon, hardly could spot the meat, probably cut into very small that you can only taste it a little bit. Also decided to try their chicken, half sweet savory, half plain fried (199k), portion are huge. Each cut of chicken are big, even the chicken thigh. And they serve like about 10 more big chunk of chicken. Crispy and has a nice texture for both chicken. I love the sweet and savory one, like asam manis. The downside here is , you have to pay for drinks (refill ocha about 20k) not like any other korean restaurant, and they only serve 2 banchan, yellow pickle radish and kimchi. But the kimchi is good though. Service are quick, not friendly, but just fine. Place is spacious, many comfortable sittings. Which you could also do some work or chat here comfortably. Overall I love the jampong and chicken here, kinda pricey for chicken, but if you eat it with group, it might be more affordable, since the size of each portion is big...
Read moreThe price was really high but it's worth it the portion of food. The bowl was really big. But the service of the employee was really not good. I was asking some question between jjampong chadol with the other one which is not spicy (i forgot the name. He replied "it consist of noodle, beef and vegetable" and for the other one "it consist of noodle, vegetable and ...."
He lost in translation, so i said "beef"
Actually it just looked like the same menu but the difference was only original and the other one was spicy.
Finally, i decide to choose the spicy one and then i give the menu book. And then he still want to know what's the different of them in front of the customer. I guess that's not professional.. The employee should know what is the difference of food after being asked by the customer without looking at the menu again. The employee shouldn't looked and trying to understand the menu in front of customer, it looked unprofessional at all..
When i decide not to order drink, because i don't know if i can finish the food or not. His face was like "what ? Are you sure?". His face like questioning my decision. That doesn't represent a professional employee. You shouldn't questioning or confuse if your customer doesn't order the drink. I was planning to buy drink from Chatime. But in the end, i have to order drink because the spicy of jjampong chadol.
I just don't like how that man-employee serve me. But with another employee, it's quite good. The food taste good. The ambience...
Read moreI went here with my friend. When I arrived, the restaurant wasn't too crowded, and they seem to serve pretty decent Korean food. So we decided to dine in there.
We ordered their half and half fried chicken and haemul sundubu. Not long after we ordered the banchan came. I must admit, their kimchi is really good. Because of that tasty kimchi, I thought their food will be decent.
But, unfortunately, my experience was totally different. The haemul sundubu came, the seafood is not fresh. I was pretty disappointed. A restaurant that is famous for their jjampong, serve not fresh seafood?! what?! The broth is not too but, just a tad bit too sweet for me. But I'm pretty disappointed already about the freshness of the seafood.
And then, here comes the fried chicken, oh my. The chicken was extremely salty that I can't even eat it. We didn't even bother to finish the chicken. There goes my 200k to the drain.
All in all, it wasn't the best experience for me. There are way better korean...
