Sulawesi@Polim — Restaurant in Jakarta

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sulawesi@Polim, a gem of a restaurant nestled in Jalan Panglima Polim IX No.19 Melawai, Kebayoran Baru Jakarta Selatan. As the name suggests, this place specializes in Sulawesi cuisine, and it certainly did not disappoint.

We ordered a variety of dishes, including Coto Makassar, Buras, Jalangkote, Mie Titi Seafood, Es Palu Butung, and Ice Tea. As someone who spent seven years of my childhood in Makassar, I was delighted to find that the Jalangkote, Coto, and Palu Butung were quite authentic, bringing back fond memories of my childhood. The portions were generous, and the free refills of Ice Tea were a refreshing touch.

The Mie Titi Seafood was a bit different from the traditional version I'm used to, but it was still delicious. Interestingly, my wife preferred this version over the original one.

We visited on a weekend during lunchtime and found ourselves to be the only customers. This gave us a serene and private dining experience, which we greatly appreciated.

Despite its modest exterior compared to other establishments on the same street, Sulawesi@Polim stands out with its authentic Sulawesi cuisine, generous portions, and excellent service. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to explore the rich and diverse flavors...

I don’t know what to say really.

The food tasted delicious, especially the Sukang Bakar Rica (with Ikan Kambing-Kambing). Really fulfill our hunger during lunch.

Service was quite lame .. had to wait for about 30-40 minute until our meal delivered. While we are the only guests (two persons only).

Price was on the premium range, IDR300.000/person average. But again, they are worth the taste as the fish was perfectly grilled.

Waiters served us well and polite. Place was clean and neat.

Order grilled leather jacket fish (Ikan sukang), which was delicious. Make sure you check with the restaurant first before order since I got 1.6 kg fish for two people.
