I hardly ever leave bad reviews in Google review, especially for the resto.
I love sushi and Japanese dishes so much. Know this place from friends and I thought it was a similar place to Sushi Tengoku Radio Dalam.
Since I was worried about not having a seat, I searched the phone number of this place and made a reservation by my name. I came to the place at the right time I reserved the table. I was quite confused when I entered the resto, no one greeted me, unlike what usually happens in Japanese resto (this is a bad signal no. 1). Yet, they just looked at each other and I took the initiative to explain that I had made a reservation. One of them just told me that I should go upstairs. Okay, this is a bad signal no. 2.
No one told me where I was supposed to sit down. Thus, I just sit at the available table. Shortly after that, one waiter told me that I did not belong at that table, so I moved to another table. After I made an order, I looked around and realized that some of the customers didn't have any dishes on their table (besides some drinks). Okay, this is a bad signal no. 3.
I have waited for my cold ocha for almost 10 minutes. And asking how long I should wait for my dishes. And the waiters just told me to keep waiting. After waiting for 20 minutes, I repeat my question, and there's no exact time that they can provide. I just lost my mind and asked the waiters regarding my dishes, were ready yet or were they too far from "ready"? After waiting for 40 minutes (or more), I just lost my patience and went downstairs to ask for my bills. The cashier was not nice at all. She even just stared at me with unfriendly eyes and rolled her eyes and said that the resto was very busy. I looked around and tried to recall how many tables in total, and it was ridiculous if the queue line almost reached 1 hour, esp my order just sashimi(?)
The point is, whatever it is, how bad your kitchen situation is, as a person who faces the customer, the first thing that the waiters or crews must do is, face it and try to explain with "SORRY" in the middle. Sushi Tengoku Kelapa Gading, you just ruined my expectation and I definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSushi Tengoku has been here since a long time ago, even since I was a kid, but I haven't been here yet LOL š Finally, this time we could have dinner here. We saw that Sushi Tengoku might look like a fusion Japanese and suhi restaurant. So, let's go there!
There's a sushi bar on the first floor, whereas there's a casual dining area on the second floor. Sushi Tengoku provides variant of foods, started from the appetizer, salad, udon, soba, ramen, don, sushi, sashimi, bento, desserts, and beverages.
Here are what we tried :
Seafood Salad (IDR 68,000) This fresh salad is served with lettuce, carrot, salmon, tuna in a savory and sweet sesame dressing. We could also request for the additional dressing without the charge. How good it is!
Salmon Aburi (IDR 46,000) Consisting of two salmon aburi, this sushi is served with the cooked salmon with mayonnaise and tobiko.
Chuka Idako (IDR 30,000 / portion) A portion of chuka idako consists of 2 sushi. In the picture, we ordered 2 portions, so that you could see that there are 4 sushi with the sweet red octopus and white sesame on top.
Salmon Hako Sushi (IDR 78,000) I highly recommend this Hako sushi for sharing. The sushi is made with thicker rice composition, so the sushi is much bigger than usual. A portion of salmon hako sushi consists of 8 thick sushi with aburi salmon along with vegetables and avocado inside....

Love the Inari Sushi and Tamagoyaki š£, freshly made by order right in front of us! And the sushi chefs are very friendly and they chatted with the customers too. I also like how they are beautifully presented.
The beef teppanyaki š±set was not bad some what slightly above average, but I gotta say the sliced beef š„© was really tender. And the miso soup š² was really rich, in fact I think they used too much miso paste on the soup š¬ And I think the sautĆ©ed yasai veggies would taste better if they add more salt & pepperš§as it was a bit bland.
And it is unfortunate that waiters was not in a good spirit and seems unhappy when they are serving the customers. I certainly expect better service for a relatively pricey eating establishment. I hope they would amend their service for a better dining experience for the customers.
Overall it wasnāt that bad, but I donāt think its worth the price given the unfavourable service provided and somewhat above average teppanyaki. But the Sushi š£ was really highlight of the...
