Decent Food though INCONSISTENT (sometimes very good other times not good).
TERRIBLE Service. WAY too many employees. This way every employee thinks that some OTHER employee will take care of customer, but in end customer gets bad or NO service.
Last night ate there with my GF and there were 7 employees hovering around, and it took 11 minutes to get refill of tea. How? Customer in end had to go into kitchen himself to get the tea. Instead of being humbled or shamed, all employees laughed like it was joke. In response to question "if there are so many employees why does customer have to get tea by himself?" answer "Maaf pak" (sorry sir).
When most restaurants in town give free refills for tea without sugar, this restuarant charges for a new drink upon each refill. OK to charge me but AT LEAST DO THE WORK and fill the glass!!!
Also the food is sometimes fresh and delish and other times tasted hastily prepared. Last night our food was definitely prepared in way that the cooks wanted to go home instead of serving proper nicely prepared food near the end of the work shift.
Several items on the menu were not available for order. "Uda habis" and "masih kosong" (we ran out, reason given).
Finally when I attempted to pay my bill, the woman at the cash register was fast asleep. Making snoring noise no joke.
This was good restaurant in very good location. Obviously its owners and management stopped paying attention and the qualify of the food and especially the SERVICE have suffered.
Be cautious before picking this resto to have a good business meeting or date as you likely get disappointed. Especially if you come to this place after 7 or 8pm when staff loses focus and attention and kitchen staff wants to go home.
Otherwise, great in all respects. Nice...
Read moreWoW, Last week my daughter Diana brought 5 of us there to have lunch. It was my first time to go to this restaurant. We usually take lunch at Do An next door. My daughter ordered Tom Yum Soup for 6 persons, I ordered fried rice seafood, my wife Pad Thai, my brother in-law ordered baked fish like the one he used to eat when we were in Bangkok, my sister in-law some crabs and shrimp and Ms. Penny, friend of my daughter Diana ordered vegetables. Wow..the Tom Yum Soup was very tasty and enlightened my will to eat more. I took two bowls of the soup with rice. My wife said that the Pad Thai was very good. It reminded her to the one in Bangkok three months ago. I Asked my brother how was the fish. He said that it was very tasty so that he ate half of the fish. We all happy because the restaurant gave us good environment for us to spend a nice lunch. I recommended everybody to try these Tamnak Thai when entertaining family and friends. The location is very near to Menteng Park. It is not far away from...
Read moreThis was the first time i tried this place. The staff are very nice and welcoming. Ordered a few items off the menu. The fish are market priced. Definitely pricey. I did not order fish. Crab is not available even though it is on the menu. A piece of shrimp is 98K. Overall taste is ok for thai food in indonesia, but i was expecting a bit more quality/authenticity for what it cost. Portions are on the smaller side too. Smoking is also allowed in this restaurant with a/c and there is no physical separation between the smoking and non-smoking sections. Repeat visit is unlikely for me at this point. But there were about five other tables with patrons. So, this place does have its...
