PROS: Large rooms with comfortable beds. Accor Plus privileges honored. Room upgrade, drink voucher, late checkout etc. Privilege lounge staff are friendly and helpful. They also assisted with printing some documents. Huge outdoor pool area for swimming and relaxing. The ground floor bar named "The Back Room" is a great place to hang out for a drink. Staff are professional and make an excellent cocktail.
CONS: Staff have charged me twice for my booking. The hotel charged my credit card 4 days before check in for the full amount. Upon check in I was asked to pay again using a different card. Ultimately, we paid twice for the same room. Still no sign of a refund or any communication on when this refund would be received. This is very unusual and seems like a scam. What hotels charge customers twice for one room? It is a horrible way to treat any guest especially platinum members. Disgusting. Privilege lounge is small with a limited selection of food and beverages. Access is an issue at this hotel. You may think you are visiting an airport because they have bag scanners and staff checking your every move before entering the hotel. This makes the process longer than necessary. Grab Cars are forced to enter from the rear of the hotel and loop around. Security checks every car - again slowing down your trip and freedom. It becomes a hassle every time you leave or arrive at this hotel. Swimming pool area is hidden with limited signage. Had to ask 3 staff for guidance due to no real direction. It turns out you have to walk through the spa area before reaching the pool. This is counterintuitive and requires alot of walking. Breakfast buffet had alot of variety but no pork bacon - despite having a "Western Section". The pastries were rock hard and crumbly - possibly 3 days old. The area hosts about 100+ people. Yet there is still 1 toaster for everyone. A complete joke. Food was also slow to be refilled. This may have been because it was a busy weekend - but for a 5 star hotel, these simple things shouldn't be a problem 🤷
Overall, this stay was a dissappointment and possibly the worst treatment in all our stays with Accor affiliated hotels. After being ripped off with 2 payments, the experience at Pullman Thamrin failed to live up to 5 stars.
I am still chasing Accor ALL points for this stay and still haven't heard anything about a refund for paying twice. I would not recommend staying here unless you like stress, wasting time and paying twice for your stay.
I'm sure the manager will reply with some message saying sorry for your experience - but please list actual concrete changes you have put in place to make guests stays better? Otherwise it's just meaningless. ALSO PLEASE...

This is sixth Pullman properties after Bangkok G, Grand Central Bandung, Bali Legian, Mandalika Lombok, and Jakarta Central Park. Embarking on an urban escapade at Pullman Jakarta Thamrin, my stay in the Grand Deluxe King room, priced at Rp3,439,425, unfolded as a harmonious blend of contemporary comfort and strategic centrality. Nestled in the heart of Jakarta, the hotel offered a refined haven amidst the bustling metropolis.
Room of Distinction and Panoramic Vistas: The Grand Deluxe King room transcended the conventional notion of a hotel room, resembling more of a junior suite. Tucked away at the end of an alleyway, the room provided an elevated perspective of Bundaran HI, creating a mesmerizing backdrop to the stay. The thoughtful touch of a birthday surprise, a delightful cake, added a personalized touch to the experience.
Central Oasis and Fitness Haven: Pullman Jakarta Thamrin boasted a strategic location that served as a gateway to both business and leisure pursuits. The presence of a well-equipped gym offered a fitness haven for enthusiasts, while the expansive pool, a rarity in central Jakarta, provided a refreshing oasis. The proximity to luxury shopping areas and an array of transportation options, including MRT, LRT, TransJakarta BRT, airport train, and commuter rail, added to the convenience of exploration.
Culinary Exploration and Sunday Morning Adventures: The culinary offerings at the main restaurant presented a diverse and delectable spread. However, the popularity of the restaurant often resulted in crowds, especially during peak hours. Nevertheless, the strategic location allowed for a unique Sunday morning adventure, participating in the car-free day along Thamrin Boulevard, followed by indulging in local snacks.
Room for Improvement in Executive Lounge: While the hotel's Executive Lounge offered an exclusive space, the limited options in food and beverage gave the impression of an afterthought. This contrasted with the overall sophistication of the hotel and its commitment to guest experience.
Contemporary Comfort Amidst Potential Dated Elements: The Grand Deluxe King room, while providing contemporary comfort, might exhibit elements that feel a bit dated, especially when situated in the original wing. This, however, didn't overshadow the overall comfort and functionality of the room.
In conclusion, my stay at Pullman Jakarta Thamrin was a delightful interplay of urban elegance and strategic centrality. The panoramic views, central location, fitness and culinary offerings, combined with personalized touches, made it an ideal choice for those seeking a refined urban retreat in the...
Read moreHotel building and lobby looked nice enough. Checking in was a breeze.Room hallway looks old and gloomy, reminded me of my dormitory days but with better colours.Bedroom didn't have much space, but was still tolerable. The wallpapers had yellowing/dried leak marks.Washroom was tiny and all the drains (sink & shower) are very slow at draining. And no lock for the washroom. The worst was the lighting, i turned off the lights while sleeping, woken up to a room fully lit with tv on maybe a couple hours later. I thought i might have accidentally pressed a button while sleeping. Turned everything off and went to sleep again, then same thing happened again. In total this happened 3 or 4 times, too tired and sleepy to care.I didn't bother complaining because it happened between the middle of the night to dawn. Even if I did complain the possible solutions would be to send a technician or switch me to a better room, and neither is desirable. I was on a one night business trip with full schedule both days.Breakfast was nice, plenty of options, but the service wasn't so good. When i was showed to my table, the host asked if i wanted coffee or tea, I picked coffee. Went around to take my breakfast, came back to table and coffee wasn't there. Then not long after i started eating, a waiter came by and asked if i wanted coffee or tea, said coffee. 5 minutes later another waiter came by if I wanted coffee or tea..again. Finally got my coffee a good 15mins later, I should've just gotten a cup myself.Asked for sunny side ups, eggs came after i finished my plate, about the same waiting time with coffee and the egg station was empty when I ordered.I'm sorry but I don't think this was a 5-star hotel, and the price wasn't worth it.I believe the problem with light was caused by the room card slot right to turn on the power. Must've gone wrong and failed to detect a card in the slot and shut everything off, then suddenly detected the card again, hence all power and light kept turning back on.Won't be staying there againHallway picture doesn't look that bad in picture, because my phone decided to make it look nicer by auto-adjusting the light level, much...
