The go-to place in Chillax Sudirman for people to unwind after work. Have a great social media and marketing team, always get the IG ads. But the food I need to try for myself.
I ordered: Grilled Pork Belly Adobo ๐ Perfectly grilled pork with sweet glaze and some kind of kimchi sides. This was wonderful and a must order. Blackened Karaage ๐ Delicious as snacks/small bites. But maybe this menu is too ubiquitous nowadays, everyone kinda nailed it. Nachos Grande We can't stop munching on this, they gave plenty, fresh topping. Aromatic Crispy Duck This was okay but I've tried many crispy duck in Jakarta that can do better than this. Too dry. Pork Truffle Fettucine It was okay, the sauce was a tad bit salty for me, but this is just preference problem. Miso Butter Salmon My friend's order, she said it was quite good. Verdict: Starters are their forte. Mains needs improvement.
Beverages: El Cremosa Beet The Heat Both are good and quite refreshing.
Food item price range: Bites: IDR 70-170K Grains: IDR 130K-200K Mains: IDR 150-500K Big sharing items like ribs is up to IDR 800K So prepare the budget.
They have a bar takeover during my visit from the Drinking and Healing bar in Ho Chi Minh. We ordered: Coco Ball Cocktail ๐ Jack Daniel's, Coconut, Pandan, Orange Blossom, Kumquat, Acid Clean tasting, with coconut and pandan being the dominant notes. easy starters for the night. Patoma Cocktail Herradura Blanco, Guavo, Vietnamese Lime Leaf, Fresh Lime Juice, Honey Unique limey sour concoction, kinda grows on you with each sip. Tommy's Margarita Cuervo Especial Silver Tequila, Giffard Agave Syrup, Lime Juice D&H take on margarita โ strong, fresh limey.
Overall: vibes are good for a night out with friends, food items a bit pricey, but cocktail was good.
Service was top notch though, everyone is quick on their feet. This is 5 star service. During my visit, DJ was kinda messy with his mix. Despite playing all the top hit songs, his song transition...

The newest Asian progessive restaurant in town! Have seen continuous good reviews pouring in, so might as well give it a taste ๐
1 - 3. 48 hrs Beef Cheek 395K This was highly raved & we could see why - beef cheek was juicy tender! Cauliflower puree was light & slightly sweet, while krecek kalio sauce dashed a strong curry kick ๐ฅ Mushrooms were my fav part of the dish - firm yet juicy ๐
Beef cheek tend to hv that jelly-like fat, which I despise. For such a small portion, I expected we'd get a full on lean meat but w/ the percentage of fats & this inedible part which I had to puke out, I'd say spend your money elsewhere. And... beef chicharonny udh melempem ๐ข๐ญ
Pork Belly Adobo 110K Hv been eating good pork belly this past few weeks and when I stumbled upon this... I CRIII ๐ญ Pork's well marintated but TOUGH to chew - took us a good minute to swallow ๐ Hv tasted good pork adobos in the states where fat legit melts but this stayed solid ๐ข
5 - 6. Teba 60K Chicken serves merely as a shell with a spoonful of mushy damp nasi uduk fillings inside ๐ There was none to barely any chicken meat; was left w/ skin & bones ๐ฉ
Fleur A La Royale 120K ๐งก Exudes a floral tropical whiff ๐ผ
Neung Geulis 120K Citrussy w/ a shy hint of sweetness
Ambiance: NY 1940s vibe w/ very dim lighting. Place's a semi-outdoor and despite having AC, it's so HUMID and HOT af we started sweating ๐ฅต๐ฅ Oh and with skirts on, u'll gain a few mosquito bites ๐
GIVE IT A TASTE? #GiveJKTatastee? With price on the higher end, we expected a lot more (esp given the rave around Toma). Hv never seen my friends leave a restaurant fuming w/ so much anger & disappointment before. This was an exception ๐

ย ย ย Read moreThe first time I entered the restaurant, I immediately felt how fancy it was. The dim lighting inside created a stark contrast to the ambience outside. I really appreciated the flavorful and well-balanced taste of the food. The staff were friendly, but at times, they were too friendly, which made some of my colleagues uncomfortable because they crossed personal boundaries. The worst part of the experience was when I overheard one of the staff cursing behind me (two of my colleagues heard it as well) just as I was about to take my first bite. It completely ruined my appetite. I wasnโt sure who they were talking to, but it was highly inappropriate and unprofessional to say something like that in a public space. Thankfully, the food redeemed the experience. Three main courses left a lasting impression on me: the salmon miso was juicy and perfectly cooked, the empal gentong (forgot to take a picture) was thicker than I expected but still rich in flavor, and the haemul jjajangmyeon was perfectly portioned, with a great balance of noodles and seafood, chef's kiss! The only dish I wouldnโt recommend is the blackened chicken karaage, which reminded me of burnt chicken nuggets. Overall, I might consider coming back for the food, but I hope the...
