Always curious to dine in at TWG, known for their tea. I'm a big fan of tea rather than coffee, so I'm very excited to try TWG, but never really had the chance until an offer appears at chopee. I bought a chopee voucher for TWG pacific place (100K value for IDR 200k).
We came around 2PM on weekend. And it is almost fully occupied. There are plenty of tables, and many people enjoy sitting while talking with each other, but it's not noisy at all. The ambience of the restaurant is truly elegant, high class, with vintage chair and white cloth table. Interior are filled with many of their TWG tea container and mirror. But since this restaurant perhaps has exist for many years, the restaurant smells like old furniture, especially the chairs cushion, like the smell of old wet sofa kinda thing. The smell is not strong but just a hint of it. Service is excellent, they are attentive and well informed of the variety of menu and selection of tea, but since we sat in the corner, it's hard to spot us if we actually need assistance or calling for help, and because crowded, sometimes they forgot that we are calling for them. They dont have the brunch all you can eat anymore. We are hungry so we order the short ribs infuse tea something (IDR 265k ++), the meat are very tender and juicy despite looking dry, and have this hint of tea scent which lives up to the "infused tea" which makes chewing the meat more enjoyable. Mushroom sauce complements the dish nicely. The veggies that are within the dish are very fresh. Especially the tomatoes, sweet and fresh, if you don't like tomatoes, eat the one here in TWG, you would love it. And I say for all their tomatoes not just in the ribs. We also order the Parisian tea set (IDR 350K ++) and additional madelines (IDR 55k++). Mini hamburger , meat is juicy, with pickles and egg if I'm not mistaken and their sauce, as well their tomatoes as sides, delicious, bun is soft. Croissant, we choose chocolate almond and apple cinnamon. They are just fine, sadly served cold, makes it not flaky as it is expected from high end patisserie. The sandwich kinda filled with option from lobster and others. Nothing particularly special from any of this, I hardly could taste the lobster as they are mixture of mayo sour cream. Except the bun is nice and soft. And their kinda like cheese egg mini tart is just okay. Love the mini cakes , you could choose 1 big slice of cakes or mini, since I like to try many things I order the mini. Consist of chocolate cake mousse , banana something, and the other one. Love all the mini cakes, delicious and worth to try, especially the banana if you love banana. Their Madelines are a downside, except for the jam and the white butter thingy. Madelines are very soggy, taste okay but texture is not. For the drinks, I choose butterfly pea something, they recommend it for me, and I regret choosing it, since it taste like ordinary tea, should go for other option. Since this one has nothing special for me. The tea mock-tail is delicious, but forgot the name. Overall my experience here is nice I spend around 800K for all of the above which they charge service and taxes just as any fine dining restaurant. Would I came back ? The only specialty this restaurant has is the tea, other dishes and cakes are not something special that you have to specifically visit this restaurant for that, since their other dishes and pastries are easily could be found at any other same level perhaps with better improvement. Now we have many option for high quality desserts and pastries cafe and resto around jakarta, so TWG is easily replaceable. But for people whom love classic vintage, TWG might be their...

-If you’re a fan of bold, smoky flavors, this tea will certainly satisfy your cravings. The Imperial Lapsang Souchong offers a heavy, intense smokiness that lingers, perfect for those who enjoy a deep, robust taste. It’s a rich and satisfying brew, though it might be a bit much for those who prefer milder teas.
Matcha (Originated from Japan - IDR 170K) -Sadly, the Matcha didn’t quite live up to its price tag. With too much water diluting the rich, creamy taste that true Matcha offers, this brew ended up feeling very standard. The flavor didn’t stand out and felt underwhelming for such a premium price. Definitely not the best value for money.
There's also another Matcha Varian (Originated from Nara, which made from Premium Powder - IDR 220K). However, despite the claim of superior ingredients, the taste didn’t significantly differ from more standard varieties. The server mentioned the premium quality, but unfortunately, the flavor remained fairly similar to less expensive options.
Service was quite nice. However some areas of the table were occupied with hampers package, hence the seating area...
