I had a deeply disappointing experience at Queen of India in Nusa Dua that I feel compelled to share. While the food was decent, the payment process and how the staff handled it were completely unacceptable.

After finishing our meal, I asked the waitress if I could pay using my WISE card via contactless (tap) — she said yes, but clearly didn’t know how to operate the machine properly. The tap didn’t work, so I asked if I could scan a QR code, which she also confirmed. I scanned the QR code and received a successful payment confirmation on my phone.

Here’s where it all went wrong.

The staff claimed no payment was received just because they couldn’t print a receipt. Despite showing proof of payment, the manager came over with multiple staff members, surrounding our table while I was with my girlfriend. We were treated like scammers in front of other customers. The manager kept repeating that we couldn’t leave until they contacted their accountant — but the accountant didn’t respond.

Eventually, they said the only way to leave was to pay again using a different method, and they would “check and refund” the original payment in three days. Out of frustration and embarrassment, I paid again with my WISE card — and this time, it worked.

Three days later, they did issue the refund — but by then the damage was done. The way we were treated — accused, surrounded, and humiliated in front of others — was completely unprofessional and ruined our evening.

I wouldn’t recommend this place if you expect reliable service or respect as a customer. The management needs serious training in both payment processing and basic...

We’ve just wrapped up our honeymoon in Nusa Dua, and we were lucky enough to discover Queen's of India. We’ve already visited twice, and it’s hands down the best Indian food we’ve had in Bali.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the restaurant manager, Ninda, who was so welcoming and incredibly helpful. He recommended dishes based on our preferences and even made sure the spice levels were exactly what we wanted. The staff, especially Sri, was exceptional. She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed—always keeping our table clean and checking in to ensure we were enjoying our meal.

A special shout-out to Chef Pawan! His culinary skills are outstanding. Whether you're craving Punjabi-style curries, Gujarati flavors, or something else, Chef Pawan can do it all and customize the dishes just the way you like it. He even tailored the gravy and spice levels to our preferences, and we couldn’t be happier with every dish.

We highly recommend Queen’s of India to anyone visiting Nusa Dua with an Indian food craving! The food is delicious, the service is impeccable, and the overall experience is top-notch.

Thank you, Ninda, Sri, and Chef Pawan for making our honeymoon even...

If you’re in Nusa Dua and even thinking about having anything other than Indian food tonight—stop. Redirect. Walk, run, or teleport yourself to Queens of India, because this place slaps (as the kids say).

We came in as a hungry family and left as deeply satisfied spice disciples. We ordered four dishes (because restraint is for amateurs): the Queen Special Chicken Curry (a royal decree of flavour), Butter Chicken (classic and creamy like a Bollywood hug), Rogan Josh Lamb (rich, tender and definitely worth writing home about), and Kofta Vegetables (because you’ve gotta have balance, right?). Every dish brought something different to the table—and not a single weak link in the lineup.

And the sauce. Oh the sauce. So good we had to order extra naan just to make sure not a drop went to waste. Honestly, if there was a socially acceptable way to drink it, we would’ve done it. Considered licking the plates, but we’re raising kids and trying to model good choices.

Special shout-out to Lisa, who looked after us like we were long-lost relatives returning from exile. Attentive, kind, and with better timing than a stand-up comedian—she made the whole night even better.

We’ll be back—and next time, we’re bringing...

We had a wonderful experience at Queen’s of India, and a big part of it was thanks to Chef Pawan, Karianta, and Effenoy. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with such warmth and genuine hospitality that immediately made us feel at home. They went above and beyond to customize our meal preferences, ensuring everything was just the way we liked it. As travelers, we also appreciated how helpful they were with our tourist requirements—something that truly reflects their thoughtfulness and dedication. The food itself was simply amazing. As Indians who love and appreciate good food, we were delighted to find such authentic flavors here. A special recommendation from our side would be to try the Gulab Jamun with Vanilla Ice Cream—a combination that made my night and will remain unforgettable. Overall, it’s not just a restaurant but an experience of warmth, hospitality, and fantastic food. Highly recommended!
