Really great food, I got the eggs and avo on toast as well as an omelette. Homemade bread was delicious and light. However, the experience was spoiled when my partner and I politely didn’t drink our coffees because they were really bad, and asked them if they could take them back, and then the owner was telling us across the whole cafe how the coffee is good and home made, basically telling us that we’re wrong for not liking it which was a bit embarrassing. Im usually not too picky and will just drink an average coffee, I can’t even remember the last time I sent something back, but this was worse than instant coffee. Finally to rub salt in the wound, after being embarrassed by the owner and feeling like we needed to apologise for not liking the coffee, we were made to pay for them even though we had one sip of each. My family and I had a wonderful breakfast at The Secret Café during our visit to Nusa Dua. Traveling with my wife, our 3.5-year-old daughter, and our 6-month-old son, we found the café to be a cozy and welcoming spot for families.

The food was excellent. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the pancakes were light and delicious, and the seasonal fruit was fresh and flavorful. For drinks, we tried the iced tea and the banana-strawberry smoothie, both of which were refreshing and well-balanced.

While the lemon juice was good, I felt a touch more lime might have enhanced it—but that’s more of a personal preference than a critique. The only thing we missed was a baby chair, which would have made dining with a little one a bit easier.

The ambiance was charming, and the staff were warm and attentive. Overall, The Secret Café is a fantastic spot for breakfast in Nusa Dua.
