Inlaws Coffee Merta Nadi Kuta — Restaurant in Kuta

Excellent coffee but the service and atmosphere was really bad. First, the staff don’t know how to greet a customer. Then, one of the female Baristas was eating from a bag of chips at the counter next to the coffee machine. This was right before she came to the cash counter to check what my order is so she can make my coffee. The iced latte was great but throughout the entire time I was sat there having my coffee, the staff (a group of them) were laughing out so loudly! They were talking non-stop and laughing out loud. One guy was busy unpacking a stash of coins and he seemed like he was doing something very important. The most unprofessional thing was that while I was ordering my coffee (with the lady at the cash till), one guy in a beige blazer jacket (not in the cafe uniform) interrupts the lady who was in the middle of a conversation with me to ask her to hand him a pen from a pen holder that was at the cash till. The pen holder had two markers and a pair of scissors (details so you know that I’m not making anything up). He could have waited for her to finish her communication with me or walked a few steps to grab the pen himself. Super unprofessional staff and atmosphere at this new cafe. I’ve been in Bali for six months and this is the worst cafe experience I’ve had so far! I assume the cafe attracts clients who don’t mind being disrespected or mistreated. Horrible management They are put in shift very weak knowledge service staff, so when that happens the order is always wrong or not delivered at all

Today 1 waited 1h 20 minutes for 1 big breakfast ! Than the employees started to blame each other

I asked for the manager and in 30 minutes I hit 3 different service staff saying that he is not here as the to be the reason for me to stop asking for the manager

I am not sure they called the manager or not, but clearly I will never speak to him.

In 1:45 minutes my son had the plate finished and never picked up n front of him, nor offered to order other dishes

Always nice to return here (ask your loyalty card if you are a returning guest), very friendly staff. The new poached egg with cheese sauce on a bun is delicious. Had it several times already. The other food like cordon blue, chicken mushroom, chicken parmesan, … all are very nice prepared and tasteful.

(Tip for the chef: for the bun from the poached eggs; or make the spinach dryer before putting it on the bun or wait to put it last minute or put some butter on the toasted bun so it stays a toast and not a wet bun or it was a frozen bun and not toasted enough.
