McDonald's Sunset Star — Restaurant in Kuta

An absolute disgrace.

What I got from this McDonald’s wasn’t food — it was an insult. The cheeseburger was stone cold, the cheese wasn’t even melted, slapped together like someone blindfolded did it in a rush. That so-called Japanese fish burger? Dry as dust. The patty was a dehydrated slab of sadness, clearly cooked ages ago and left to die under a heat lamp. And the fried chicken? Don’t get me started. Dry, stringy, no juice, no flavor. It tasted like it had been reheated four times and given up on life somewhere in between.

Not one item was fresh. Not one.

The entire operation feels like a microwave graveyard — no coordination, no standards, no clue. The management? Might as well not exist. What’s going on here isn’t just poor service — it’s a full-blown collapse of everything system gastronomy is supposed to represent.

And to top it all off: I waited longer inside the store than I usually do ordering through freaking Gojek. Let that sink in.

This place is a stain on the McDonald’s brand. Fast food? Try wasted time, stale ingredients, and zero accountability.

I like that it's open 24 hours. But the service is horrible. I just ordered while standing Infront of the counter as they had prepared up to 30 drinks that was just sitting there for ages so they could give out drinks alittlebit faster. What kind of service is that? Lack of respect to costumers giving them old drinks that has been melted down with the ice... The staff we're about to give me an old drink when I had to stop her and ask for a fresh one... I should have to keep an eye on the staff just to get a fresh meal.. I'm not their boss.. . Despite ordering a fresh one and drinking it 2 minutes later. It didn't even taste like coca cola. It tasted like water... I didn't order a water coca cola, I ordered a coca cola....

Fries were over cooked. No chance of being crispy. Oily of course.

The man standing at the frier did however appear to be doing a good job, constantly cleaning down the area. The fries had sat in the warmer a long time though.

My order, just the fries, took quite some time. The lady with a “Crew Leader” badge seemed to be packing orders but she seemed in slow motion, permanently in a confused state.

It was so frustrating to watch. Thankfully there were only a few people waiting.

Thankfully the young lady cashier who served me decided to proactively step in and she went to the fries bay, scooped some up, etc. She promptly bagged my fries. Excellent initiative and all executed promptly and competently.
