Sugar Rays Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Kuta

What a horrible experience we had. We turn up only to be turned away cause we didn't have a booking. Fine! We made it for the night after. Only to turn up and some other ppl sitting on our table telling us they didn't have a booking. Fine! So we sit on another table having our drinks. Then told we had to move from that table cause it was for a booking at 7pm. Mind u it was only 5pm at this stage. Fine!! We order our down sized meal portions and continue to eat. While a family of six WITHOUT a booking rock up at 6:15 and are seated at the table we were on that was the 7pm booking. Don't know how they were goimg to order, eat and leave in 45 mins. Fine!! Then and elderly couple. I'd say in there 80s, turn up without a booking and are turned away. At this stage my blood was boiling. They walked away and looked lost not knowing where to go. We had just finished our meal. I said to my husband that i was going to offer our table to these 2 ppl. So i jumped out of my chair, ran down the street and pulled them back in to have something to eat. I spoke to who i thought was the manager of what i doing, in giving the elderly couple our table. If he was going to say no to me then Ray would've known the real me and my thoughts then and there. Disgusted at the service. Cause when we were delivered our mains after the starter. I had to tell waitress if she could remove the dirty plates. When we were moved we had to tell them to clean our table cause the previous ppl had cigarette ash all over it. I definitely won't be returning. Lift your game Ray you were better before...

Six of us went for dinner on a Friday evening. It was very busy and our booked table was clean and ready. We were attended to promptly and had a variety of cold drinks served to us. The beer was almost frozen!

Looking around it seemed there were a lot of happy people at other tables and more drinking at the bar. It is an open restaurant with fans keeping us cool while we watched some AFL footy.

We noticed a lot of meals being brought out and were nicely surprised that ours came out in good time. The meals were all good sized portions and mostly reported as delicious.

The staff were all well presented and seemed happy to be there for us. This being Bali we were glad they understood and spoke good English. It was also nice to meet the owner and have a chat.

This was our last meal of our holiday and we were all glad that we chose Sugar...

We have been to sugar rays a few times now! We dropped in for my birthday dinner and a few cold drinks. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric. The music was absolutely fantastic, with great tunes that kept everyone dancing and singing all night long. Was lovely to meet Ray and Mia they went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed as well as all the staff. All were very attentive. They were not only attentive but also fun to chat with, and their energy really added to the great vibe of the place. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday celebration! Highly recommend this pub for anyone looking for a fun night out with great music, friendly faces, and a lively atmosphere! Cheers for looking after us and the crazy birthday...
