Youâll have a great night here if you like live classic rock / pop music.
The band take requests and their repertoire of classic pop standards is extensive.
The decor is excellent and adds to the vibe.
Snack food was excellent. The French Fries and the salted squid are great.
Evening food was great too. Youâll see in my upload the whole fish. Nicely steamed - the meat was as it should be! The balsamic avocado salad was nice too. Youâll love the sate chicken!
Just a warning to travellers⌠any menu item which includes cheese⌠the cheese will be minimal, at best. This is a general criticism throughout all of Bali - cheese is frightfully expensive here.
The real reason I docked a star from the rating is as followsâŚ
Drinks⌠my mojito had a large sprig of mint. Excellent. But no mint flavour. Totally absent. A good shot of the spirit for sure. Lime flavour? Totally absent.
This is cocktails 101 to infuse that drink with mint flavour and to add necessary ingredients. No amount of pumping the mint into my tumbler with my straw could rescue the situation.
Management⌠please buy some limes at the market and teach your staff how to âmuddleâ herbs into a drink. Add mint. Muddle (pound with a pestle) then add spirit. Let stand a short time if possible. Etc.
Having said that⌠the smoothies are excellent. I recommend the mango and also the dragonfruit smoothies.
Desserts were great too. Iâve uploaded the chocolate lava cake and the panna cotta.
TLDR: youâll have a great night here but stick to beer and avoid...
Read moreI couldn't help myself. I am sitting at Summer Queens in Legian, Bali and having the time of my life. The cocktails - out of this world. I'm stuck on the coconut mojito, expect to pay 95k rupiah upwards for most cocktails. The food is amazing, they offer Asian food and your so called 'western food' including pizza. The ambience and vibe - 110%. The staff is amazing. The live music is awesome- a lot of rock. The place is a cross between and gourmet restaurant and 'pub'. If you don't like rock music, you may want to leave before the music starts which is around 8:30pm. The biggest downer for me was that there is no designated smoking area. You are downing your drinks and food with the...
Read moreFood was ok - not amazing. Nice decor. Bizarre choice of âlive musicâ (seems to be a popular thing in Legian), which was a local band playing a mix of Robbie Williams, AC/DC, Dire Straights, and a rock guitar version of the Godfather theme music!! Needless to say this didnât fit with the dining experience. Having said this, it seems to be very popular with Australian tourists and ex-pats - and there are lots of other bars and restaurants in the area with live music. Maybe Iâm just too British to enjoy classic rock with my twice...
