Taris Bali — Restaurant in Kuta

SCAM ALERT!! Not Honest Waiter! My friend and I ordered food and drinks from the waiter Bebe. He told us there was a 10% service charge and our total was 845 IDR. I paid him the 845 +10,000 tip. I asked for the receipt and he gave me a piece of paper with the hand written order and prices. My friend noticed that her sirloin had the wrong price (an extra 10,000). I confronted the waiter and looked at the menu. While i was looking at the menu, he apologized and gave me the printed receipt, plus he gave me 100,000 for the trouble. Then I realized he added an extra 10,000 also for the french fries. He again apologized and gave me another 100,000 for the trouble and not to talk bad about the business. I was confused and said it was too much and i tipped him another 10,000. Then my local friend md told me there is no service charge in this place. Sure enough I saw on the printed receipt it was only 615000 as the TOTAL and not subtotal. i asked the waiter again and that's when he explained that the extra 100,000 was for the service charge he added himself. I don't know if this is the only waiter that does it, but these guys are trying to pull a scam on tourists who don't ask for the computer printed receipt don't recommend going. This is actually a good place to spend your evening. its just need a lot of improvement in the management. Staff should be more polite. they're are friendly but it's a big zero when it comes to politeness. I mean. that's not how people who work in hospitality industry should act. Cleanliness. The menu tho! the waiters was giving me and my friends a wet, dirty menu which is sucks and ruin a little of our mood. Toilet. the worst toilet that I've been to so far. for a location as fancy as double six beach, their toilet could've been better. One of the door was broken and the seat of the toilet was dirty and kinda stinky. the last but not least is clearance of payment. IDK why these people stood in front of us like they're watching. like they won't leave us alone and when we first sat at the bag they said to pay rent for the bean bag for 50k and then we can order anything without no minimum order. and when we were about to pay to the cashier they asked us to pay directly to them for 200k when our total meal wasn't that much. they said we could only pay 25k for sitting on the bean bag. after we gave them the money, they didn't even gave us the receipt like wth -.- this is one of the most unprofesional and uncomfortable visit into a restaurant so far. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! The food is disgusting. I ordered the chicken burger it’s not even real chicken it’s a processed chicken patty I only ate it because I was hungry, COME ON if you’re going to sell a chicken burger at least make it a real chicken filet, half way through eating the burger I took a bite on what seemed like a rock opened up the bun and there was a large black burnt part that was totally uneatable hard as a rock piece of god knows what 🤮 (check photo) my wife had Satay she ate it because she’s not fussed I had one and chicken was dry. My wife is Indonesian she took the plates back to complain about mine and the older lady (possibly owner) didn’t even care and said to my wife maybe you took too long to eat it and it went cold. Are you kidding me LOL I ate as soon as it was delivered. She then said did you pay? my wife said yes then she just walked off. Absolutely rude. I had doubts even sitting down on the beach in front of Taris because the place was empty compared to the other beach bars no one in Taris eating or drinking.
