I recently had the pleasure of dining at SugerSand Restaurant, located within the Indigo Hotel in Seminyak, Bali, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant, we were enchanted by its great atmosphere and luxurious vibe.

The staff at SugerSand were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. Special mention must be made of Jon, who runs the restaurant with great skill and passion, and Emy, our delightful server, who added an extra touch of joy to our table. Arya and Dewik, who were part of the staff, also provided outstanding service, further enhancing our dining experience.

As a restaurant and travel journalist, I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exquisite establishment, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of extraordinary.

Upon stepping into SugarSand, I was immediately struck by the chic yet relaxed ambiance. We had the pleasure of visiting this spot on our trip to Bali and were absolutely blown away ๐Ÿ˜

Hereโ€™s what we got:

Tacos 3 ways (tuna, salmon and crab) Popcorn chicken Chicken yakitori Kiwami Wagyu Bollar Blade Marbling steak (250g, charred baby kailan, eryngii mushroom) Matcha sundae Yuzu cheese tart Dark To drink: You-zu and Sizuka (mocktails)

I wish I could be transported back to this day and try each of this plates again because every single one of them were truly incredible ๐Ÿฅบ From the drinks to the desserts it just kept getting better and better !!!

We started off with the refreshing mocktails and the apps and our favourite was definitely the seafood tacos, the proteins were so perfectly seasoned and packed into the crispy nori shells ughh so delicious ๐Ÿ˜ณ the popcorn chicken is a crowd favourite and for good reason, it was perfectly crispy and the chicken was juicy ๐Ÿคค

For our mains we shared the wagyu bollar blade steak and the chicken yakitori! The presentation for both was so impressive with the chicken skewers sizzling with flavour and the steak perfectly cut and laid out on top of that creamy sauce ๐Ÿ’ฏ each plate was devoured almost immediately ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ

Lastly when I say we INDULGED I mean it! These desserts were so creative and decadent all at the same time, my number one favourite had to be the yuzu cheese tart, so creamy and citrusy at the same time with that sublime yuzu flavour! My husband absolutely cleared the plate for the dark, the dark choux pastry with that taro cream โ€ฆ such a treat ๐Ÿ–ค the matcha sundae was the perfect ending to it all, tying our feast together with a light and refreshing note ๐Ÿ’š

Whether youโ€™re looking to chill on the daybeds with lunch and drinks or partying it up at a DJ event no matter the vibe you are welcome at Sugar Sand ๐Ÿฅฐ With the fabulous service and smiling faces we definitely felt so and are hoping to return someday soon for sure ๐Ÿ’œ

The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring that each aspect of the dining experience was enhanced by their presences. The atmosphere was hampered by the music from the beach but was still very enjoyable.

We had the pleasure of visiting this spot on our trip to Bali and were absolutely blown away ๐Ÿ˜ Hereโ€™s what we got: - Tacos 3 ways (tuna, salmon and crab) - Popcorn chicken - Chicken yakitori - Kiwami Wagyu Bollar Blade Marbling steak (250g, charred baby kailan, eryngii mushroom) - Matcha sundae - Yuzu cheese tart - Dark - To drink: You-zu and Sizuka (mocktails) I wish I could be transported back to this day and try each of this plates again because every single one of them were truly incredible ๐Ÿฅบ From the drinks to the desserts it just kept getting better and better !!! We started off with the refreshing mocktails and the apps and our favourite was definitely the seafood tacos, the proteins were so perfectly seasoned and packed into the crispy nori shells ughh so delicious ๐Ÿ˜ณ the popcorn chicken is a crowd favourite and for good reason, it was perfectly crispy and the chicken was juicy ๐Ÿคค For our mains we shared the wagyu bollar blade steak and the chicken yakitori! The presentation for both was so impressive with the chicken skewers sizzling with flavour and the steak perfectly cut and laid out on top of that creamy sauce ๐Ÿ’ฏ each plate was devoured almost immediately ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ Lastly when I say we INDULGED I mean it! These desserts were so creative and decadent all at the same time, my number one favourite had to be the yuzu cheese tart, so creamy and citrusy at the same time with that sublime yuzu flavour! My husband absolutely cleared the plate for the dark, the dark choux pastry with that taro cream โ€ฆ such a treat ๐Ÿ–ค the matcha sundae was the perfect ending to it all, tying our feast together with a light and refreshing note ๐Ÿ’š Whether youโ€™re looking to chill on the daybeds with lunch and drinks or partying it up at a DJ event no matter the vibe you are welcome at Sugar Sand ๐Ÿฅฐ With the fabulous service and smiling faces we definitely felt so and are hoping to return someday soon for sure ๐Ÿ’œ If you ever find yourself in Seminyak make sure to check them out yโ€™all ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿป trust me this one is โœจ highly recommended โœจ
